Selective criticism of Hindu organisations and sympathy towards Islamic fundamentalism are considered secular, liberal, safe, remunerative and an exercise that can bring popularity! A group of wealthy Muslim financiers, a director who can do a convincing script and a Governemt at the centre run by an Italian sympathetic to Muslims can only result in films like 'Parzania' with a visceral contempt for Hindus. The motive is very clear: a national award from UPA Govt. for the best feature film! The film beautifully stokes communal fires by overtly inciting Muslims. And then you have an American character who calls the Hindu organisations group of 'Mother Fuckers' The message is very clear: Muslims are innocent victims of Hindu hegemony and Hindus are incorrigible demons. Muslims only avenge, but Hindus start it all. Even the Muslim who swears revenge against Hindus is instantly transformed by his wife who exhorts him to identify only those who actually killed his father and kill them. It is a shame that this film has been certified by the censors. Then why prevent Praveen Togadia from addressing public meetings? IT is a mischievous, malicious and motivated anti-Hindu campaign that passes as sensitive portrayal. I challenge Dholakia to make an honest film on the plight of Kashmir pundits or Godhra with the same commitment and righteous indignation!

Dear Bala Bhai,
I feel for you. Your's is a tribe with blinders so tightly shut, that reality has a tough time trickling in. I imagine it's not possible for your prejudiced, zealot mind to see Parazania as a movie screaming for humanitarian (and not merely Hindu or Muslim) justice, for a wrong that was undeniably perpetrated. Does it occur to you that it is entirely reasonable to condemn both the Muslim genocide in Gujarat as well as the train massacre of Hindus that preceeded it ? Or for that, to condemn Muslim extremism that has led Kashmiri pundits being displaced does not exclude one from being simultaneously indignant of Hindu fundamentalist organisation's polarisation of people for their vested political gains.
A balanced, unbigoted mind would clearly see that condemning one community for it's heinousness (as you suggest Parzania does) does not imply condoning the other for theirs (as you suggest the movie does) ? So, as the movie Munnabhai suggests - I wish you a speedy recovery to wholesome, loving and unprejudiced thoughts". Get well soon.
The Movie touched My heart I hope Gujarat sees this Movie and every gujarati should do a reality check. Do the parents of innocent Azhar deserve this or many like him.
