Come on, news is a news! It might not entertain you or serve your purpose, but you shouldn't have a bitter attitude towards media. Some people might be enjoying the stuff and otherwise from newspapers to news channels all serve such spicy stuffs. There are grave issues to solve, no doubt about that, but we always cannot be in a serious state of mind. I often come across such blame against rediff.com but i think it is absolutely unfair to hold them at gun point.

guys/gals,

it is truly not fair enough to put all the blame on rediff media or for that matter any online news. And what do most of the readers mean by front/main page? it is 'the' only page you see everday on rediff india abroad(isn't it?). Firstly, if you guys are so sick and tired of reading anything about Ash-Abhi, don't even bother to click on the link that mentions their names and that's that. Isn't that the easiest way to solve all your miseries. There's also other important news on the rediff "FRONT" page that you could engross yourself in. I don't like reading about bollywood/ tollywood all the time either but I do enjoy sometimes and there is perfectly no harm in that, so take it easy and let them do their jobs. That's my 2 cents.

Lalitha Davuluri

Day starts with headlines on main page then one goes inside which are generally archives. Its sick to see such news at start of your day. We prefer something more meaningful headline which conveys some sense of resposible citizen of India. Reading something on some events about indian soldier at the border is meaningful. Such articles should not be the headlines atleast.

This is really getting bored
by subbu balu on Jan 20, 2007 09:22 AM

We regular rediff user's don't want such kind of masala stories in the headlines, there is lot happening in our country like noida case. In such circumstances it is really rubbish to keep running behind Ash and Abishek, my only question is will india's economy get better by Ash Abishek Marriage? Certainly not, so why should turn out attention towards some useful things.

who cares?
by Hemant Pedanekar on Jan 20, 2007 08:19 AM

right.. why shud we care? Media doesnt tell us what happened to amitabh bachans case where he got cheap land near lonavala by claiming he was a farmer (he got tax exemption etc too) they show them as gods.. media also doesnt care abt poor ppl, they wont cover North Karnataka, they will just cover celebs and Bangalore. In Maharashtra, they wil concentrate on bollywood and BCCI.. never mind poor farmers committing suicides..

Sri Veerendra Hedge
by Prasanth kumar on Jan 20, 2007 07:56 AM

I am really taken aback by the photograph in this article.
Rediff should know the importance of Sri Veerendra Hedge to Dharmastala, State of Karnataka and the poor people of that state.

I think the writer knows only ash and abishek.Do they have any relevance to growth of our country or to the poor people here. This marriage news is a total shit.I am pretty sure that even the writer or almost all staff of rediff is hardly recognised by these celebrities!!!

by SyamChand Nair on Jan 20, 2007 07:41 AM

just one doubt, is this puja helping Indian Economy, or it help reducing corruption, or it helps reducing poverty, to bring it and publish it in the main page and keep it as a headline..

u need to think of a social responsibility tag u should bear!

Ash's Mehndi and Saree and dresses and profile and interviews of her fashion designer, her chauffer, her maid, her dhobi, her frequently-visited-shop's-owner and columns and columns and pixs on her make up, jewellery and comments from Page-3 entities, their viewpoints, their experience with the couple (some authentic - most of it fake), entire dedicated and compiled webpage section with news-articles related to anything and everything with "Abhiwarya" - My God..rediff even named their child !!!

And yes..when everything with their marriage is over, we always have SANJUBABA to rely on...
