While not endorsing any programme / channel, I don't think there can be a one man self appointed authority to decide what the rest of the populace has to watch. Mr.Minister, please watch the myriad Hindi & regional programmes including the TV serials. Aren't they demeaning to Women & others ? Please watch the soaps.. You will believe that people are scheming forever. Doesn't that influence the populace ?
Time to dump the Minister who is a major cling-on. See the sorry state of Football which he is the head of. Nothing better can be expected of this person.
I don't stay in India but looking at the amount of clothes that indian acresses, models and item girls wear, I think that people abroad are decently dresses.Also not just lot of of skin is shown in movie songs, trailers and pop bhangra songs but also the way they dance and expose themselves . And mind you these are shown and blasted the whole day on all hindi channels. Please look at your own dirt before banning others.
Its ridiculous!!! All my favs are gone: Fear Factor and Amazing Race!!! Priyaranjan Dashmunshi should have censored his team members (the whole bandwagon of Indian politicians), rather imposing a decision on the viewers forcibly. This person is mad enough in himself to be dumped into lunatic asylum. We are matured enough to decide what to do and what not to do. If we like to watch adult movies, we'll and when we won't wish to view it, we won't. Simple!! Whats the reason of this hue n cry of this person??? Who is he to decide the chice of the matured viewers??? ridiculous and fit enough to be kept in a museum!!
I was looking forward to watching the All Stars Amazing Race in February, not to mention the fact that the Amazing Race Asia Finals is already history, Dammit!!! And my other fav. shows like Fear Factor, Supernatural, World's Amazing Video & World's Sexiest Commercials all gone.
AAAArrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhh....im really mad at this ok rather than banning that showwhy did they have to ban the whiole channel...im more angry becoz my 4 favourite shows are from axn amazing race,fear factor,guiness world record,ripley's beleive it or not...itwas amazing race's finals and they banned it till march ....
If government really think to ban a channels then they should ban Star Plus as this channels shows only serials which create un nessecary rumors in daily life.
Its really mindless ppl who are running Indian Govt. All are fake. Indians pose themselves as 'Cultured', then why does AIDS rapidly growing in India. Indians live behind their mask. So disgusting.

I think your level of maturity Mr/Ms/Mrs Krish is quite appalling, incase you are not aware, its we Indians who love to ape the west...also, its lack of literacy which is the result of AIDS, not such shows, in that case you should be ashamed of being an Indian and encourage tourists to visit the Khajuraho temples which are beautified with the 'kamasutra' poses..... hahaha! and we have such hypocrisy where people say 'ban is perfect'.... juvenile.

Oh yeah, it's totally fine to broadcast obscene music videos on Zee Music all day, but broadcast adult programming and get shut down. Way to go! It seems we are retarding everyday regarding our rights as individuals and deciding what we should and shouldnt watch. We now have big brother doing that for us.
