It appears that people have no work but to find fault with each other. Pl be tolerant, be mature, be considerate, be polite. If SRK cracked a joke, was it not laughed by everyone. Why Should Amarsingh feelbad about it? Was he not in the company of bollywood people where it was freedom of speech. He perhaps felt it a politcal rally where his cronies bring truckload of people to raise slogans in favour of netas for a paltry sum. Our misfortune is that we don't have any proper neta now. We are bereft of people who are committed to people's welfare. We have the shamless netas who have guts to own cars worth 3 crore and claim to be the leaders of the poor people. UP under the SP rule is competing with Bihar when it was being ruled by Lalu Pd. There was a time when UP was considered on the top of country but those were the days of real netas. Dr. Rajendar Prasad and Pt. Nehru did not belong to any state, they represented the whole country. Now we have the people representing their small fiefdome of their village.We have to live with them as we don't have any anlternative. May God give bestow them with wisdom of coming out of petty jokes and petty feelings. Let them be above of all these things. Let them think about the people they represent. The country will be grateful to them.

I believe that ShahRukh should be excused as he is the only one who had and has the guts to make Filmfare light and really entertaining than all the crap we have seen in the past. Remember the times when the only lines that the host used to speak were "I'd like to invite Mr ABC to present the XYZ award" and stand like a statue for the most part. There was no flair in the hosting, no charm and no entertainment. ShahRukh did an excellent job 2 years ago when hosting it with Saif - it changed the definition of hosting in an Indian film award function. It was really entertaining. It also brought it closer to how Oscars are held. Yes, ShahRukh did go a little overboard with Amar Singh but everyone draws different lines when it comes to humor and Shah Rukh drew his own. Havent you ever cracked a joke in your life that someone somewhere did not appreciate ? It happens all the time. But full credit to Shah Rukh in showing others how awards should be hosted. Let the host entertain. We dont need statues please.

I found that without Saif at his side SRK found it quite difficult to perform his duties as a host. At times he was overacting. And that part with Abhisek and him on stage it came across as if SRK was trying his best to make up for any alleged fall out with the Big B and his family. It was when he was with Juhi that he was more in control. Karan Johar was quite good for the short duration he was on hosting. As for the awards function itself I give credit to Filmfare putting up an excellent entertainment program with stars putting forth their best in the well choreographed numbers. Rani as usual was superb. Sri Devi looked not a day old. Although out of the movies for so long and with many years behind Sri looked exceptionally divine. Perhaps she gained the confidence to appear on stage to dance after watching Madhuri who last year returned from the US to dance at the Filmfare Awards. Also Kajol's come back in Fanaa has given to many of yesterdays heroines some new hope ( of acting in movies ) Our awards functions are far better than Oscars except for this peculiar habit of the host calling out- May we call upon the stage so and so to give away the award for Best Picture etc. Why do they say give away instead of - to present the next award we have the super star of movies like Chandi and Mr.India Sri Devi and director Yash Chopra and with that the two would appear from backstage and after announcing the nominations declare the winner. The winner then comes on to the stage without the host having to ask the winner to appear on stage. And what was that long speech by Javed Akhtar - some music like on Oscars should have cut him off. It brought memories of when Dharmendra had made a long winding speech years ago when he received the lifetime achievement award.

I beg to disagree with you and the Abhishek matter.Deepak Shah was right Filmfare use to a boring show until SRK came on the scene.There is no one in the business who has more charm and sense of humour like SRK and he can say and do things in such a manner that will not offend and after every little crack he makes, he always says sorry, it was all in fun and he is a little mad etc.... he is fabulous and entertaining and a joy to watch otherwise I'd turn off my television and go to sleep. Shahrukh has great rapport with people and the entire industry loves him especially the women and as for the men only those who envy him have a problem with him. With over 3 billion people on his side why should he care what anyone thinks. Back to the AB jr incident...he does not have a problem with him, he was just being his warm, kind wonderful self. Leave him alone... we want him around for zillions of years to come,whether it is hosting acting or just plain shooting off his mouth...he is truly a breath of fresh air.

It is Amitabh's money and he has not been gifted and it is out of sheer hard work he gets. And mind you, if he is not successfull then no one wil come to his rescue they simply dump him. It is like an adage" when the chips are down all are out to get you". You must have also experienced in the real life. This is today's wild wacky law. when amitabh went bankrupt some years back no body bothered to turn to him except Amar singh who stood by him like rock. Only Amitabh knows the pain and agony he has gone through and today because of his popularity he his getting his worth not a penny more and no one in the film industry is in to charity to give him free money or car. They know the fact that, if they cast Amitabh they get thier money and fame back. I dont think he is evading any tax it is the witch hunt on him. Without knowing all these I think we should not make all kinds of remarks. "A friend in need is friend indeed."

What nonsense!!!!Amitabh is the biggest cheat and Amar Singh his chela. One should admire the guts of Amar singh claiming on media that he owns a Rs. ".5 crore Bentley. See the condition of UP on one hand and on the other hand the leader attending all shit functions and parties in Mumbai. also Amitabh smartly got himself gifted a 4 crore rolls royce phantom to evade tax. He is nothing less than a thief glorified.
