I think he is hurt within . When look him on KBC it appears so. some time he cut joke on or mock on Big B ang giggle. First he should look his back ground and compare it with Amitabh .After 15-20 years he will no where wheather he call himself King Khan or Whatelse.Lot of King of mugal period called themselve Sehnsah. Jahngir etc. how many of them are rememberd like. It is his libery to call himself whatelse he like but it is the public at large's liberty to ignore him.

srk bachha
by mahesh gunasekaran on Mar 02, 2007 12:07 PM  | Hide replies

srk must try to grow up from being a bachha and stop saying kids things like 'i see devil in his eyes, etc'.
he just seems to act like a bachha, be it in movies or in real life.
apart from his twisted face he also seems to have a twisted sense of humour.
perhaps in his eagerness to mimic others he seems to be confused with the words bachha and Bachhan.

SRK Sarcasm are No Charms
by Tika Dhakal on Mar 02, 2007 11:57 AM  | Hide replies

Sometimes my friends find me funny when I am showing so much concerns on Bollywood%u2019s demeanor. I feel Bollywood has become an integral part of today%u2019s Indian subcontinent culture. It has given a kind of common culture and language to South Asia an its acceptability is only increasing. To me, it is a kind of interest to watch Hindi cinema and it is a sheer pleasure. Therefore, I am also interested about its stars and their influence to the society. I have developed equal fondness of cricket and Indian politics. Siddhartha (My friend and neighbor) said this morning that he sometimes wonders how I got enough time to closely watch the current legislative assembly polls of Punjab, Uttarakhand and Manipur. I had in the mean time also updated myself about the current bollywood events. I didn%u2019t miss the Filmfare awards ceremony as usual.

Shah Rukh Khan was the Mater of ceremony of this Filmfare awards presentations along with Karan Johar. Both are ace bollywood stars. But it was more to my embarrassment than to amusement when I found SRK being so critical to the people he probably disliked. I never know he liked or disliked them. His allocution made me realize he probably disliked them. Or I may still be wrong. I agree with Javed Saab%u2019s remarks that the creations of Bollywood have given the countrymen, and I would even say the people beyond the borders, excuses to soothe their feelings with the stars on the screens. It is this feeling which has evolved an immense stardom, name and money for the people related to this industry of Indian cinema. This stardom never means the concessions to the stars to publicly defame someone of the same or even higher stature. SRK%u2019s repeated takes on Amar Singh reminded me the respectless Australian cricket players who intentionally pushed the political heavyweight and BCCI chief Sharad Pawar aside to hastily grab the Champions Trophy last year in India. You can not invite someone in your program just to defame or recklessly criticize that person in public. Political leaders verbally abuse one another in different forums but it is viewed natural since both parties have enough to speak about each other and they are virtually in the same mission. Even this is taken with the question of Indian morality where we remember a even bad person for his good deeds after his death. SRK%u2019s finding of %u201Cdarindagi%u201D in the eyes of Amar Singh was more a verbal abuse than an amusement as he is said to have explained in his clarification later on. I have nothing to say if a person is praised for his virtues and hated for his vices. I also don%u2019t want to say that Amar Singh is a great leader. But he is of course an influential leader. I appreciate him for the way he has maintained a %u201Cgreat%u2019 FRIENDSHIP WITH Amitabh Bachhan. As far as I have known, this friendship is not developed after both of them achieved their stardom. They have maintained it throughout their life since childhood and this is really exemplary. I don%u2019t see any reason to criticize them for this. They might share some secrets of one another as well. We can not question their personal privacies. Yes it is really unpardonable if this friendship has cost India something. Indian democracy has strong mechanisms and it has already coped so many attempts of violence, civil wars, separatisms and corruptions. It has all the abilities to cope them in the future as well. Where a former prime minister (PV Narasimha Rao) can be jailed for a proved corruption, other leaders or film stars can never ever be spared be it AB or Amar Singh. Let alone Amar Singh, AB has recognitions from all over the world, from the UK to France to the USA. He has the personality to make many awards look smaller and dwarfed than himself, forget the filmfare. SRK might not have relented his frustration because of this. He appeared equally intolerant about another big Khan, the Ace Amir. Probably he envied the way Amir films were given more attention for Oscars than his own, the way he might have envied the commendations for AB in the original Don and KBC. You agree or not, Bollywood%u2019s entry to the arena of Oscars only increases its acceptability and opens up new frontiers for Hindi Cinema around the world. You can not despise someone for going to the Oscars. You are in a way also despising someone like Satyajit Ray. Neither you can hate someone for his growing fame and name than yours. You have no right to abuse someone in public legally or morally.

I remember an old proverb in Hindi that says a branch of tree with ripe fruits always bows down. It is the virtue of the judicious to be humble and appreciate someone in front of you. SRK was more sarcastic and sarcasms are never charms.

Wow well said,Amar Singh was an invited guest and one cant humilaite guests in the name of jokes! And if srk feels that they are all really jokes, then why does he say sorry after that? He cracks harmless jokes at himself, but when he is sarcastic about others, his jealosy for all who are more successful than him can be clearly seen on his face!

Who invited Amar Singh and why ?? What is his acheivement in Bollywood apart from being friend of Amitabh Bachchan. He should better concentrate of politics what he is good at. I am sick and tired of seeing Amar Singh everywhere with Amitabh Bachchan. The whole country is sick and tired of seeing Amar Singh with Amitabh Bachchan.

I am not at all a fan of SHAHRUKH. I just don't like him but this time I am with him and was very happy to see the humiliation.

by nitin gupta on Mar 02, 2007 10:43 AM  | Hide replies

I would say Shahrukh should be hammered by Amar Singh to a very large extent as he has been continously humiliating Amitabh Bachchan, Super Star of the Millenium when Shahrukh can never match him at all in any case what so ever.

Sharukh should publicly say sorry to Amitabh and in future respect him.
