I finally saw this film and I am speechless. Mozhi is a masterpiece which will be called a classic one day. Jyotika's performance is simply mindblowing. Prakash Raj must be given a lot of credit for producing such a wonderful film. Mozhi is a must see for all.
After seeing this superbly made film, I came away with two thoughts uppermost in my mind. It is possible to make flawless movies in tamil too! After the millions of rajni/vijay type of mindless superhero movies, Mozhi is indeed a revelation! My second, and even more endearing thought: why, oh why, is this girl Jyothika retiring from acting? She deserves an award for her performance, to say the least, but both she and Soorya need a good talking-to about her decision to quit films!
Nice to watch such a movie aftera long long time. Honestly, I stopped watching new movies, but for vikram. All the crappy ones vijay, dhanush & creatures like simbu made me sick. They do all vulgar stuff & still are being looked up as heros!! This movie was great.. just a guy meeting a physically challenged girl. People usually make sick comedy in movies about physically challenged, this movie touches your hearts - focuses on human relationships, little things in life we fail to notice. No double meaning dialogues, no irritations, smooth music by vidyasagar., I am forced to write good about this. Prithviraj & Jyothika have competed hard - very good performance by Prakash raj & swarnamalya too! Amazing Mr. Radhamohan. Hope you give us more films like this.. kudos
Mozhi is a wonderful film... Wonderful performance by jo, prithvi, prakash raj, swarnamalya and others... Once in a lifetime do we see such a good movie.. Hats off Radha Mohan and Prakash raj... I ve seen it twice and still wanna see it again...
Gender bias needs to go from this society, let alone the films.
Great thinking: "Thankfully for once, women are portrayed as being absolutely on par with the men without the irritating gender bias seen in many Tamil films. Their feelings are respected without any alpha male assertions on the part of the heroes and they are shown to be highly intelligent and independent."
Wow Fantastic movie... no words to say to Radhamohan. we were wathced at bloomingdale-chicago.After the movie, people were applause nearly 5 minutes, I havent seen so far in U.S theatres. please pass this message to Radhamohan or Prakashraj if anyone get a chance. salute to Mr Prakashraj - you are really good producer.
People should come out of their mindsets of enjoying punch dialogues, hero bashing up 25 goondas and kuthu paattus and should welcome these kind of movies. One such example of a movie going unnoticed was Iyarkai. Films like sivakasi, thirupachi, tirupathi have the same typical stereotype story lines and punch dialogues and they are run away successes. Mozhi is refreshing to say the least and is far far better from the above mentioned stereo type movies. People should change their mindsets and should welcome movies like iyarkai, mozhi, kanda naal mudhal et al. One person is trying to take Indian cinema to world level (Kamal) and these punch films deter his moves. If you ask the director of those movies, he will say that he is giving the film according to the taste of the people. Well who is to be blamed? the viewers or directors? Those apart,Mozhi is a classic piece from Prakash Raj's factory. Hats off to all the performers.
Got a satisfaction of seeing a good movie. Story is simple but presentation was fantastic and brilliant.
Performances of Prithviraj,Prakashraj, jothika and everyone else was too good. This film shows that no need to spend crores of money to make a good film.
