You can choose to wear or not wear anything.. nobody is concerned. People like you do enough damage to the reputation of India that you wearing a sari is not remotely significant to promoting Indian culture.
A dirty white saree is what many used to wear, unless the sycophancy of gentlemen and ladies are the reference....These dirty sarees touched earth around it, the earth embraced human.
Here we have mercenaries whose stupor is mistaken as void touching them, what happens is mercenaries are deprived of a sense of belonging that existed in that dirt saree.
Could the Bhajans be haunting while ghost stories created by canadian leftist funding of maoists be progressive hope ? As usual look elsewhere... the hope is in oscar.

What is the point here? Are you saying widows are held in high esteem in our society? I suppose it is hard for you to handle truth.
Thank God that there is still someone who atleast dares to wear the national pride keeping in view the fact that the majority feels pride in copying westerners in every way. For God's sake we must realize that we have a rich culture of our own.
A black is a black and a white is a white...Thats the thinking of white... So why are we making fool of us.
Such is our condition that we cant speak Hindi even when asked to, rather we keep on churning English....wat a pity, wat a shame....wat will bapu be thinking of us....

But these people "damage" the national pride through half-baked information. It's so much easier to gain recognition in Hollywood by "confirming" their biased views of other societies. That's what Water's crew did. Maniratnam's Guru is far more important and creatively/stylishly made than Water. But last thing Hollywood do is recognize an Asian movie that glorifies the local success/traditions.

Yes and Mani Ratnam also copied "Wall Street" pretty well for which Michael Douglas already had been given the Oscar. The style you mention is not original. It again is borrowed from the west.
It is better to cherish the success of WATER to OSCAR coz none of the top line actors in bollywood especially amitab or sharuk made it to the oscar once. This shows that film fraternity is interested in making business but not the actual professionlism. It is right to know that despite her good performnce in Bandit Queen she was not recognised much. I appreciate the work done in WATER
Hi Seema Its great to hear that u would wear a saree. I apreciate ur guts because now a days the whole world is behind the 'so called' modern dresses.Great

j p whoever u are .... ur remark was very very rude. Seema Biswas is a perfectionist and deserved best actress award in Khamoshi . She has done a great job in Water and i think she'll dazzle in anything she wears. At the end of the day..its not how u look that counts but what u are.
I am surprised that Seema Biswas has not been nominated for the Fairone Filmfare Award because she was damn good in Vivah. Please wear a really stylish sari because when you walk the red carpet prior to your entering the hall , they look out for the best and then show the best on entertainment tonight etc. Hollwood channels the next day. PS. I hope that Deepa Mehta paid Manormaji good renumeration for her work and not a few cents.

Cmon she is not shahrukh khan. Its only actors like Shahrukh or amitabh who wud just smile in a scene and get nominated for awards. People like Seema Biswas, Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Sunny Deol, Ajay Devgan need to really work hard for getting nominated. Thats why u never see these actors in any award functions. Since these awards have always been business of few...
Seema is a very good actress, no doubt about that. only the thing is such a good actress should not give a totaly nude seen like in bandit queen. She must be feeling guilty about that.

Rajesh,
Bandit Queen was not a sexy movie. It was showing a painful social cause of a woman who forcibly falls into situation where she finally has to choose to revolt by being bandit queen. There character was important. You cant compare her wit Meghana Naidu [Hawas movie] or Mallika Sherawat [Murder] etc.

even if you all are agree with antony. it doesn't mean that what's you are saying is true. even seema herself agreed that the 100% nude seen was given by her, on the film release. you have any justification ???
