DUMB REVIEWER
by PRATYUSHA DEEPTHI on Jun 26, 2007 12:02 AM  | Hide replies

Who is thsi dumb reviewer guys, you mean only if abhishek and aiashwarya did the roles of Sagar Hussein and sabina begum you would watch and rate it better. Sheer non sense.

When you guys write a review, double check what you are publishing.

What do you mean who will go to watch so and so, when peope can read reviews like these of yours, people can watch great performances with subtle sense and sensibility.

Acting , movie and characters arent supposed to be glamourous always.MIND IT.

I had heard people become reviewers and critics when they dont get any other jobs, and when they have nothing to do.....And when you have nothing to dom this is the outcome.....

Great Review...Keep it up.

Must be your career masterpiece....

undertrail was shockingly great film
by Apurva Tank on Feb 14, 2007 06:32 PM

Bold subjecthandled very well by the directorandcompletejustice doneby the entirecast.Especially the female lead monica she is firstrateinthe film. She can give run to most seasoned actress. Rajpal does full justice to his character. Your heart bleeds when you see such reality on screen. This things do happen in reality. Great attempt. Must watch by adults.

review of undertrial

I am apprehensive someday the reviewer in rediff might say why Nasiruddin Shah or Shabana Azmi, the directors should cast AB or Hema Malini in all the films.

HEMA ACTUALLY DID A LOT OF ART MOVIES LIKE GULZAR AND RIHAEE AND RATNADEEP BUT I AGREE ABOUT YOUR COMPARISON WITH AMITABH IF BLACK WAS MEANT TO BE AN ARTISTIC VENTURE THEN IT WAS AN UTTER FAILURE

patcy, take it easy :)

I am not sure if this kind of writing is going to help rediff's reputation in the review department. You appear to have a few good people - Raja, Arthur etc. - but some of your reviewers are just not meant to do this! Anyone can criticize or praise a movie and even throw in enough jargon to make it look like he knows what he's talking about. But a good reviewer ought to understand the fine nuances of cinema inerspersed with a flair for writing.
That would be the least we could expect from a respected publication like yours :)

Rajpal doesn't have much to say
by dony thomas on Feb 12, 2007 09:27 AM

You seem to be biased against Rajpal Yadav. Who will go to see Rajpal?? What does that mean?

He is a good actor & is constantly improving. If he does not much say, maybe the script of the film was like that. Everybody takes time to get used to a newcomer. I'm sure once he receives a good role he will perform brilliantly.

Please do not slander someone for no reason.

why sabotage good cinema, to the editor
by usman khawaja on Feb 11, 2007 07:31 PM

you gave a por rating to traffic signal and promptly declared it a flop , yet ive seen the first week gross which is more then corporate which was a hit and more then the entire india gross of babul which you guys promoted too , so a movie on a miniscule budget possibly 2crores has made over 7 crores and is serious cinema not escapist stuff , what does rediff have to say for itself, you are doing the same to undertrial , doesnt make any sense

Advice on reviews

Rediff! and Review Board,

Please try to critize the movie in more realistic ways. It looks awkward to read such a bad reviews and ratings like the one you gave to that movie.
I think we should encourage such burning topics and awsome real-life based movies. At least our film industry has started to put up such topics to the general population on the country (especially those who live in villages). I admire their courages and wish them all the best.
