Yeah, I agree. SRK is a star who can save even a horrible movie, whereas AB clings on to remakes (from South or Hollywood) or multistarers and manipulates media to claim credit. After all these years do we hear of any controversy- personal or public or financial about SRK?

usman bhai, what u say may be true but smells of a communal bais. I have adored dilip saab all my life but srk has a long way to go in comparison. what about guru dutt, bharat bhushan, amitabh, dharmendra, rajesh khanna ?
The guy is totally beyond me! The more i see of him,the more explosions are in my head. He was always the one who overacts, and will always remain the same.
1. He has the guts to host a show which was down and out. 2. He is doing films and KBC at the same time. Just imagine how hectic his schedule will be. He takes care of his family too at the same time. 3. He never acts as if he is the God-sent of human kindness. He is a jovial and witty character who makes others smile. Isn't that what people want after coming back home from a stressful day at work? 4. SRK is completely apolitical. he understands he is an actor first and last. He dosen't get involved in political associations despite his superstar status to show off power. 5. SRK never parades himself as the best. He has always regarded Aamir more highly than him as an actor and has good rapport with his younger colleagues like Hrithik and Abhishek. In fact he also has openly acknowledged that it will be very difficult for him to do as good a job as Amitabh in KBC but that he will try his best anyway.
God helps people only with above values of humility, hard work and good character. No wonder SRK is the top star in India for 14 years now.

Hi, Let me ask u a few things 1. Does knowing a politician makes a person good/bad? (Think) 2. Don't you know why Mr. Amitabh was chosen first for KBC by STAR PLUS? (Think, u need to have business mind for this) 3. Finally, do you know who is the start of Millenium? 6. Can you tell me when Mr. Amitabh portrayed himself as GOD? 6. Arre, did you see any one in earlier KBC show who misbehaved with Mr. Amitabh? We have already seen some with Mr. Shahrukh already :-)

SRK has already competed with Hrithik wood, Abhishek stone and Aamir static and gone beyond them. Within time he will go beyond Amitabh too. Fact is Amitabh was a superstar from 1975 to 1988 only. SRK has already beaten that record by being superstar from 1993 to 2007 and still going.

there u go again... wat a research u have done even i dont have the time and inclination to do so much research on srk.. as for KBC 2 3 5 or any i wont be discouraged until people stop calling their lines and those ten chairs of fast fingers are empty.. as long as some one wins with srk its fine and good for everyone. Rating is for channels to fight for their market placing and and nor to u and me or srk and ab... hope u get the point.

The ratings for KBC1>KBC2. KBC3 early days yet. The concept is now stale, despite Sidhartha Basu's efforts, no amount of effort can substitute for originality (Who wants to be a Millionaire?). If KBC3 fails it only proves how much our mass media has to improve to be taken seriously on the world stage!

jealousy is bad but where this is. SRK is not a big actor. getting work and name is not that much of everything.
why do us indians think if our stars get big abroad we r cool!!!-india needs more attention within the contry first-if there wld have been a poster of BABA AMTE helping the leprosy patients-that wld have make more sense..glamor can be seen in social work as well-we just need to ahve that kind of thought process and vision..all these stars are making us-indians getting lured by money-power too much,they r not satisfied -they want more-yet in the name of charity they stand nowhere near there counterparts world over!
