I have read this column on rediff about 3-4 months back. Please guys give us some news thats happeing now. If u dont get any stuff, doesnt mean u fill in as TOI does.
I liked Filhaal though it was a bit slow in parts. I'm looking forward to watching Just Married. It should touch a chord with many Indians as arranged marriages are still the norm with the majority of my countrymen. I have friends who had arranged marriages and are extremely happy in their married lives. I hope the movie doesn't run down arranged marriages. Though I had a love marriage, I feel arranged marriages have a lot going for them.
Filhaal was like when your wife says "We need to talk" !!!! Never fun.
I am sure that there will be a few redeeming moments in the film, but overall the movie will be boring !!!!!
Not to mention that we will have to see it because of our wives !
Also did anybody see chupke chupke ? I don't understand what the fuss was all about ? 't' 'o' too hota hai to 'g' 'o' goo kyon nahi hota (kill me now !!!) ??? Amitabh was over the top (as bad as shahrukh). The overall movie was not funny at all !!!!! this movie will be in this category. Since chupke chupke is considered a classic, this will work too.
Each Director has his/her own vision to present a film. As a Person I like Meghna's Filhaal very much its give you a message, It doesnt matter it will create a Box Office records, the message the feeling the description what any one like to protrays has to be understood thats the Quality Meghna hass
I think Filhaal was good movie, and it was more like a parallel cinema, not the mainstream masala one, and that I would not expect from Meghna ji either.
Now, I understand how touchy one gets when an effort is compared with any other movie, just because of the title's sake. I wish her all the best. I have personally met Gulzar ji, and I am a great fan of his work. I am sure Meghna ji will stand up to our expectations in her next venture. All the best

Forgot to add one note, Can you please consider someone other than Anu Malik? I am not trying to suggest, but I honestly feel a sensitive composer like Jatin Pandit would have done a great job here. Just my views Shyam

My upcoming film 'Just Married' has music by Pritam. I hope you like the music and will like the film as well. Regards, Meghna
a couple of songs in filhaal slowed the movie and a progressive and topical movie shouldnt have so many songs anyway see achanak and koshish and kitab a movie your dad says he made for you im sure you will take this as constructive criticism since you come of two such talented parents

Thank you for your suggestions and encouragement. I think I have improved on that point in my upcoming film 'Just Married' ... I hope you like it. Regards, Meghna
Meghna was both courageous and practical in handling a movie like Filhaal.. the title song still rings in my ears often ! Like she mentioned it was never meant for the massy but a selective group.. Am hoping Just Married is yet another feather in her cap !
