JUDGE: EKTA KAPOOR
by sarah raina on Feb 07, 2008 10:55 PM

I quite agree that these reality shows are manipulated for the benefit of the channel and we viewers are dummies for them... Its high time ppl wake up and not get exploited like this!!!

Its your arrogance
by True Indian on Dec 27, 2007 04:18 AM

People in India do not like actor/actresses boasting on stage of their abilities. Even though an actress gains more viewership through her modern comments (like your acceptance to live in relationship), she doesnt gain acceptance. While your competitor made sure she maintained a clean image by pretending to dress up full and be very modest, you were tooo natural in your outlook.
My advice should be, stop boasting and maintain a good modest image

Sandhya should not keep quite
by ritu kumar on Dec 26, 2007 11:16 PM  | Hide replies

We as audience sit and vote for deserving candidate just to know that some EKTA KAPOOR has power to send SMS in lakhs so that her serial idiotic characters can win for her TRP and channels are involved in this as tampering is done in their server /system.

by Chris on Dec 21, 2007 09:25 AM

If people can spend their hard earned money to send an sms it is THEIR right! So stop cribbing about how popularity won!

popularity over talent
by neelam sharma on Dec 20, 2007 11:25 PM

prachi was good but sandhya was a little better....but whatever happened was unfair. i used to really like prachi but after the wild card entry i feel how her conscience allowed her to come back without even thinking aboout the other eliminated contestants...i think there should have been a dance round for wild card entry too. also looking at last years and this years result its quite obvious that popular tv actresses have more chances of winning. so next year may be all the contestants will be from the saas bahu serials.

How was Sandhya the ''best''?
by on Dec 20, 2007 02:18 AM

Urmila and Shaimak kept harping that Sandhya was "by far the best" according to them. Then why was Prachi only lagging one point behind the so called "best." Their marks certainly DID NOT reflect what they were harping.
How is Sandhya the "BEST?"
For the few selected ppl claiming that Sandhya was the "best", please tell me how the "best" was only by ONE stinkin point ahead? And previously she''''s only led by at most 2-3 points? Is that how you ppl judge being the "best?"
Per me her expressions were horrid. They looked like a man operating heavy machinery! That is not what I call the "best"

Such shows/channels are making FOOLS of public...
by Vimal Kamdar on Dec 19, 2007 05:40 PM

Yeah they do...except for Zee-SaReGaMaPa - no other 'reality' show - depict no. of sms received by the contestants..do they? Secondly most of the times such shows are recorded atleast a day before the telecast - HOWEVER viewers are requested to sms even on the day of telecast..i.e. after the final show has been recorded. This is cheating...purely...last year...in Jhalak - they claimed to be 'live' whereas in every break they showed what was coming up....how can one show 'future' event in a live event, it is not possible even in a slight deferred telecast. THE BOTTOM LINE IS DONT WASTE MONEY BY SMS.

Sony is to be blamed!
by DEBASRI BASU on Dec 19, 2007 03:27 PM  | Hide replies

That Prachi Desai has won JDJ shouldn%u2019t have come as a surprise to anyone. It was waiting to happen, ever since her much hyped though grossly skewed return (since not all the contestants were given the chance) to the show via the %u2018wild card%u2019, just another name for a %u2018back-door entry%u2019. The culprit here is the channel, Sony, which is infamous for its marketing tactics; after all, the SMSs translate into money that%u2019s sweeter than honey. It happened even in the first season, when Mona Singh rode high on popularity wave and won the title despite the challenge of such a gifted dancer as Shweta Salve. Those who try to defend Prachi%u2019s win by crying themselves hoarse that it%u2019s the janta%u2019s choice are conveniently disregarding the face that even in democratic set-ups, every individual gets to vote only once, else it would be called a rigged election. The basic anomaly lies with the voting format where up to 500 SMSs are allowed from the same phone number. Compared to JDJ, the format of Nach Baliye offers a fair and level-playing ground since Star allows only 20 SMSs from a single number, and it has allowed all the eliminated jodis to participate in the %u2018wild card%u2019 round. My only message to Sandya Mridul is that she shouldn%u2019t lose heart; the world knows what an skillful dancer she is, and is bound to get her rightful due in the days to come. Atta girl, way to go!

Prachi is the best...Sandhya was a horrible dancer...no grace, no expressions...I salute the people of India for voting for Prachi...the judges should be ashamed of their biased attitude..no wonder Urmila is nowhere today and Shiamak has only a dance school to show!!
