Mr. Nandhu or bondhu whatever?
by Joseph Robert on Dec 19, 2007 02:23 AM

Namitha appears in thongs and sips from brightly coloured cocktails.

TSV Hari and Mr. Bondhu .. both of you must be around 50 years old.

Could you both please Define "Thong"..

Namitha appears in Thong? I didnt look that closer!

To Nandhu Sundaram and TSV Hari
by Joseph Robert on Dec 19, 2007 02:20 AM  | Hide replies

Rediff reviewer TSV Hari looks at billa in a skewed vision and Nandhu talks about th good things of billa, but quire suprisingly both have a foregone conclusion that the movie is bad.

Nandhu mocks at the coke can scene where david billa throw the can in the air.

Considering David billa is a notorious gangster any sudden movements or actions made by such a person evokes precaution on the party dealing with him, considering the above scenario i believe those 6 men were curious to suspect something fishy in the can. Well im not supporting the scene, but my point is to seee the skewed vision of Nandhu sundaram (the reviewer).

His rating of 2.5 out of 5 is cynical. I believe both TSV and Nandhu must have decided to give this rating even before watching this movie.

Rediff... Are you listening?

yeah keep inventing reasons for the can scene...the actual motive is within the timeframe in which tha can touches ground, ajith wud have finished off all the cops...it is just to show how quick Billa is...but the whole idea is screwed up in that scene...

The point is if our Rajnikanth acted in this remake, whether the author would have termed it as 'stupid'? In Sivaji, Rajni when captured by a whole gang of 'arival' wielding goons, just shakes them off and delivers a dialogure' Singam singala than varum..' and then starts the fight sequence. If this could be accepted as an intelligent scene, then we can accept the above scene also....

The point is if a lady on the road does a mistake you will not hesitate to question her but if the lady happens to be your mom you would certainly hesitate because she is your mom. Good or Bad she is your mom. And thats show how Rajni is being seen by people. He has the capacity and audience acceptance to defy any logic. We just want him on the Screen. So please dont bring The GOd Rajni into your stupid comparisons. You can very well voice your views without affecting or touching people like Rajni.

Billa... great visuals and music.
by ace on Dec 17, 2007 04:53 PM

The movie is a 2 hour treat to watch, great attitude, no regrets - the present trend of youngsters. The starting scene of Ajith throwing the RedBull can was just great to watch, Yuvan's background score blends with the visuals, - i want to watch the movie again.

The idea was to make a remake of the yester year hit with a lot of style and panache...
that was accomplishad!
And the trade verdict clearly shows that the movie is a superhit!
Now where does spoiling one's name come in? :-O

style ...is it not enough.. its rocks
by sujith krishna on Dec 17, 2007 02:00 PM  | Hide replies

When u say billa is style without substance is it not enough to have a stylish approach to an already amde movie like billa .. if it does not have substance it is certainly a problem of the old story writer .. any how i have seen billa it rocks
