u r rightly said. The Hindi film Bhool-Bhulaiya directed by a Malayalee (Priyadarshan) is only an attempted distorted version of the classic Manichitrathazh. There is day and night desparity between the two. The original is eternal, the duplicate is a bhulaiya
Guys if u want to c the original classic Malayalam Film Manichitrathazh which was copied in Hindi as Bhool Bhulaya then it is coming today in Asianet channel at 4.30 pm...by seeing this Film u will understand how bad was the Hindi Bhool Bhulaya...I as a North Indian liked the Malayalam 1 where every 1 from Pappu to Shobana did there Roles much much better than in the Hindi Actors..Just c and say...

Forget all the reviews and criticism. Don't compare. If you want to see a neat, serious, right dose of comedy, good acting, good direction, hummable songs that grows on you, go and watch Khoya khoya chand (KKC for the fast food generation:))
Yes I agree that many people are out of ideas in bollywood ,but that doesn't make period films bad...........period films are made everywhere ,hollywood makes over 10 times the number of period films that have been made in bollywood. The problem is that today everybody wants instant entertainment ,people have no time to sit through for 2.5 hours and try and understand a film ,also we are intellectually bankrupt ,the only things that dominate our discussion nowadays are the ads and film gossips, there are no ideology clashes like in the 60's and 70's ,no honest criticism ,for the fear of offending people ,hard truth is ignored .
get up does not look 50ish or 60ish. Everything else looks like the golden era of cinema (50 - 60) especially raja kapoor and sonia. 70% of the effort should be that you look that characted. Other than that overall movie is good.
