YES - i did feel so after watching Evano Oruvan. A crisp two hour flick with no violence, no romance, no songs but the for the one rendered for the final credits, no hair raising stunts, no cliched dialogues, no humor injected or a separate comedy track and yes - no chase or fight in the climax.
yet you feel at ease all thru the movie, and more importantly you are able to identify almost every character in the movie with someone you have acquaintance in your life.
The movie hits you hard right between your eyes and you are left with a feeling of guilt, agony, despair or helplessness. The message conveyed is straight and nothing wishy washy about it.
Great Show MAdhavan, Nishikant and rest of the team. We applauf your gutsy effort to break the shackles of regular commercial cinema and yet give a movie so engrossing and true to life, something that we have not seen on celluloid for a very long time.
There may be minor gliches here and there no denying. But all that can be pardoned for the phenomenal effort the team has put together to give us a no-nonsense movie.
Folks, this one is a must see. See it, for your own sake. You wont regret it.
Evano Oruvan is a brilliant film. Madhavan has delievered a great performance after a long time. This is easily his best film after Anbe Sivam. Evano Oruvan is a muvh better film that the pathetic Madhuri 'comeback' film Aaja Nachle and the dumb 'Saawariya'.

This review is the first thing i am doing after watching the movie. I hate remake movies, but if they remake movies like this one from other language then i am for it. This movie is some of the few best movies of this year. It just shows how much a normal man is being stresses by this society. Really like to congrulate madhavan for producing this movie. All i wish is, this movie shuld make some money for the producers so that many more good movies like this comes in future. I always wished to see a tamil movie where there was no love/romance and this one is perfect. absolutely horrible movie . very slow , too unrealistic, seemans too cliched , neither kamat nor madhavan is in touch with TAMIL society as it is today , one being konkani and the other grown up in jamshedpur . it is so dark even worse than mani ratnams venture , it is hard to see whats going on in the screen. and so many wasted scenes sangeetha focused and crying for close to a minute is absolute torture. madhavan is too mild mannered to covey the rage and outrage required for this protagonist . his silly objections of bank loan sanction, parota shop vendor , mrp pricing , absolutely stupid doesnt make audience feel for the hero . "DHILL " is the abolute original . all these are just poor copies. but KATRADHU TAMIL was outstanding .
its good to see so many good and particularly some original movies are coming out..the industry looks very healthy now..they are so many new talents coming up in every field with fresh ideas..they should also dub the movies(kalloori) into other languages...if english movies can run in india, y not other regional language movies?..the industry has to work hard on marketing their movies..
