Any Indian who has achieved such honours and adulation must be respected irrespective of thier region,language and religion.As our former president Abul Kalam said Talent respects talents.I do not know Tamil and I have not seen his movies still I respect him for his achiements.Despite being a star his simplicity speaks a lot.
I do not understand the need for so many hysterical posts commenting on Rajinikanth's looks and/or acting. This is what he looks like in real life - just a regular looking man - and apparently feels secure in just being himself. As a movie star he is no different from other successful movie stars in that he delivers a selling product. To those who comment on the tastelessness of his movies, I ask - who decides what is tasteful and what is tasteless ? And to those who comment on his 'vulgarity' and 'dancing with young girls', I ask - which successful Indian hero hasn't done the same? And to the non-Rajini fans who felt compelled to click on this link, look at the picture, and post insulting/abusive comments, I say - ee'F'yo'UCK'ay off !!!

thats a good post, Iyer. The ones who are repeatedly making fun of his looks should realise that looks are not something chosen by every man. It is what he inherits from his parents. You can never blame a perso for being dark, short or ugly. Instead look at his achievements. Being an ordinarly looking man, he has earned a million fans across the globe. What have u, 'fair-skinned' guys achieved? Have u ever thought whether your mother or father or best friend looks good or not? Why then discriminate people based on their looks? Tamilians love this person not for his looks but for his simplicity, kind-heartedness and the messages he conveys through his movies. Please please get the facts right. Rajinikanth is not even a Tamilian. He is a Marathi, born and brought up in Karnataka. But nobody in TN stop loving him becuase he is not a Tamil. We are not racists, friends. So please stop this practice.

Dude its just not Tamilians, everyone who has understood Rajni as human being loves him.
I personally dont watch Rajanikant's movies and I dont think he is the greatest of actors but I believe he is a very simple, decent and honorable man. Regardless of how good (or bad) an actor he is, lets not belittle him as a human being.
