Good Experimental Movie
by Sunita R on Sep 01, 2007 09:16 AM

Its contemporary! Its a break through to all the movies which never had any stuff till now.. KANK and KAl Ho NA ho n all were gud movies r what??? People start inculcating for stuff movies.. I would say hats of to RGV who could jus walk against the tide or current and make a gud standard...

There is nothing to make such a hue n cry on this.. So many songs r spoilt by remixing.. I never heard so much.. n pls Sholay doesnt ve a classic story.. SHolay becam hit for its combi of actor and songs.. SOngs were missing in this so it turned up to be boring for few people.. but the crew is really gud... i feel all the characters ve been given their chance of best efforts..

guys dont react to mohan's message. he is from some pr agency which is paid by srk to write all this crap. any man in his senses cant write this. One movie doesnt affect legends like Big B. Just look at srk, he looks like ------ in mast kalandar song in Heyy Babyy and in promos of Om Shanti Om. srk is not even a shadow of Big B.

Excellent
by Anwar Ali on Sep 01, 2007 05:04 AM  | Hide replies

If you wipe out Sholay from your brain,,,this movie is excellent. Go for the actors. BigB and Mohanlal were fantastic. Ramu's technical work is great.
Ramu copied God Father nobody felt bad. Now he copied Sholay. Why is everybody has negative attitude?
Only Ramu has the guts to do such things and still make it big.

Real life howard roark:RGV
by rahul on Sep 01, 2007 01:58 AM  | Hide replies

i think its very easy for any one to critize sitting outside in their AC cubicles,RGV must be laughing at these idiots,he was a civil engineer ,then he "decided" tht he wanted to be a film director and he is a film director,he is not sitting in cubicle writing code and doing "path breaking"work, this movie may be a flop but RGV will be remembered 100 yrs from now on as a person who had the guts,i am reminded of passages from aynrand fountainhead wheneverybody was attacking howard roark, keep on RGV,ppl like me are always with u,and for others better look at what decisions u have made in ur life and gone ahead with them apart from sitting in ac cubilces and throwing stones at others

There is nothing wrong in remaking Sholay. At least in bollywood we have someone who dares to do that. These type of remakes happens everyday in hollywood and they are success or failure. How does it matter? In art and media world everybody should have freedom to do what they like. People with this kind of attitude should not even go near the theaters if a movie is remake.
Take it easy. Ramu is a great director. Big B is a great actor. Very few directors like Ramu tries new things in Bollywood. He is no Karan Johar or Yash Chopra and give hits by same social drama like saas bahu serial. He has shown he can easily make films like Shiva, Satya, Company and produce hit after hit. We know this country likes that. Only directors like Ramu could change that ghisapita duniya.

Rahul Bhai,

How does it matter RGV was an engineer or a road driller?? The fact is he dished out an absoulte third rated flick which he himself should be ashamed about. These remakes are failure in themselves and shouldn't be attempted in the first place. Look at Don. How pathetic it was compared to the original? Ramesh Sippy knew which role would suit whom and casted properly. Gabbar Singh has been made immortal by Amjad khan, and nobody even mighty Big B cannot do a better job. Same goes for all other characters. This is a sure flop film.

I am sure you would have written this review, sitting in a desert, bearing the brunt of scrotching heat, deprived of water, food and shelter...

And then RGV would have payed you million $ to allow you to sit in a AC cubicle. So, that you can write a testimonial in RGV's name, making him the eternal 21st century director.

Movies are for entertainment. It does not matter where you are sitting, if the movie is rank bad, and supposedly a tribute to Greatest Movie ever made, then you should be ready to bear the brunt of the public who wasted thier precious time, money and enthusiasm on the movie....

And I would suggest you return RGV's money back. Such money is not going to do you any good.

Everybody have a life.Raamu is OSCAR material. He is a born genius like tendulkar to cricket.See SATYA,nobody made a movie like in the past century bro,a 100% original. It is not a copy unlike SHOLAY. Bhiku matre from SATYA is 21st century GABBAR SINGH.who gives a nickel to old movie like SHOLAY,majority are not born when a poor man SEVEN SAMURAI made.wake up to the reality this is RAAMU fiefdom, sippy is retired GABBAR gaya allah ke paas. You can not stop him,but u make money criticizing him,He will leave a large mark like satyajit ray, rajkapoor in the history of indian movies.See shiva a 100% original hyderabadi movie, he is like angry younger amitabh, nobody could stop him.atleast he made tribute to retired sippy and late Gabbar.he is really honoured that amitabh payed tribute to him.All of ur people are so whiny...like bleeding india..get lost brothers..You will never get ur glory...never get an oscar...with so much hype on high tech...desi murghi hi rahegaa...

by Amar Singh on Sep 01, 2007 01:09 AM  | Hide replies

now is time for amitabh to retire gracefully.

a time will come when people will kick him out.

he is losing his touch. and mind you this is not to insult him. i was a big fan of his movies and can tell you the stories of most of his movies even now.

but, i am sorry to say his time is gone.

and my name is just a coincidence.

@amar singh,

BY THE WAY WHAT IS YOUR OWN QUALIFICATION TO JUDGE WHETHER BIGB SHOULD RETIRE OR NOT??.........ARE YOU MORE QUALIFUED THAN MEERA NAYAR, PRIYADARSHAN, RGV, YASH CHOPRA, BHANSALI OR BALKRISHNAN????..........OR YOU KNOW ABOUT ACTING BETTER THAN THEM????

I DONT THINK AMITABH TIME HAS GONE AS AN
"ACTOR".......BUT YES WORRY ABOUT YOUR OWN TIME DUDE........CHANGING YOUR NAME EVERYTIME WONT CHANGE YOUR REAL IDENTITY........

for last 38 years people never kicked him out so why they will kick him out especially afetr success of "CHEENI KUM"??
