Enid Blyton books were wonderful - they were an integral part of my childhood.And Famous Five out of all the Enid Blyton mystery series was quite my favourite. However, her stories I think would appear a little tame to today's kids. That's where Harry Potter books have filled up a gap. I myself love them! I think J.K.Rowling's greatness is that she's been able to appeal to today's kids and adults as well!
A movie on Famous Five might not be a too bad an idea. Even the idea of Agatha Christie murder mysteries being converted to comic book format is a good idea in my opinion. Anything to appeal to today's kids and to capture their attention that unfortunately has too many avenues for distraction.
AS FAR AS THE FAMOUS FIVE OR EVEN ANY OTHER COUNTLESS BOOKS WRITTEN BY THIS GREAT CHILDRENS AUTHOR ,WHO TOOK ME TO A BEAUTIFUL WORLD OF MYSTERY AND FUN DURING MY SCHOOLDAYS IS EVERGREEN ,NO HARRY POTTER OR ANY OF THE SO CALLED CHILDRENS AUTHOR CAN SURPASS THE WONDREFUL EXPERIANCE OF READING AN ENID BLYTON BOOK.And planning a movie on a grown up famous five is definitly boring and a stupid idea

I agree with both your points. Am getting a sort of a nostalgic feeling just remembering those books and characters. We really used to live the characters in there.
Just can't think of a movie on the same theme with grown-up characters. Whoever got this stupid and inane ideas??

I think its worth giving the movie a chance. Might be interesting and would be interesting to know how they turned out.
While FAMOUS FIVE was fun for the kids of yesteryears, it doesn't appeal as much to today's generation. The movie about the adult Famous Five is targeted at the kids who are grown up now.
