The movie Budda Mar Gaya was a wasted attempt to be comical. Movies like Khosla ki Khosla inspired me to watch this movie, but then i realised similar cast dosent mean similar standard. The promotional wording given by the director poved otherwise.
Firdous bhai, As a reviewer , Can i request you not to give out the story of any movie. Please do take a lesson or two from Raja sen on how to write a review.
The movie is not for family viewing, but I liked it as it shows the true face of some sections of Indian society (Maybe that is why it is a black comedy) eg "struggle" of new heroines/ starlets association of sadhus with rich homes dysfunctional joint family harassment by Media frustration of old Indian males And the grand finale
People in India are just mad about the usual stuffs of SRK and Akshaya and whenever comes a movie like Metro or Buddha Mar Gaya, they say it obscene or not worth. But I liked the movie very much. It was a well scripted. planned movie and the laughter was there till end. Not seen such good comedy in the recent past, though I agree, movie is not kinda family entertainment. But a must watch movie. It's really different.

if it is not better than hollywood movies it is still better than entire yash chopra and subhash ghayi movies.
No I did not take the trouble of going to the theatre caught it on DVD, not worth the 30 bucks....the most pathetic movie I have ever seen, I was expecting something on the lines of a typical multiplex movie, say like bheja fry....but this one turned out to be sheer pavement humor. Nothing to write home about...no nice sets...no good actors%u2026. no nice clothes%u2026no nice songs...no good debuts...though I must add Mannat Kaur does have the making of a typical villainess in a hindi serial.. .the clothes and the make up. As for Madhvi Singh she does have the making of a Rakhi Sawant%u2026the trampy/garish clothes and the willingness to drop the clothes at the drop of a hat together with pathetic acting. What was surprising is why would actors like om puri and paresh rawal even bother being associated with a movie like this%u2026..perhaps a favour to Mr. Kher?

its a nice movie. light hearted comedy with bit of sexual ting. Well i have seen many movies like this in English but its a good attempt in Hindi cinema. In spite on my liking I don%u2019t think it will do good in India as people in India are more inclined towards saas bhau or heavily censored movies. I don%u2019t know but I feel it%u2019s a good comedy film altogether.
I always thought wat cud be worst........and i got an answer to it only watchin this Movie, wat i cant understand is how such gud actors like Paresh Rawal, Anupam Kher and Om Puri cud do this. Please please please Avoid this at ANY COST. IT is Truly Terrible...........

You should have waited ther for some more time. you've just lost the touch dear. In the whole first half the story is getting weaved and the real comedy comes after the intermission, where they materialised on the first half and provided a hillarious comedy. Good going Rahul Rawail. Try always different. I got bored of the usual SRK stuff, though liked his Chakde!
