Chak De India is an excellent movie based on hockey entirely with no diversions like love angles, sob stories etc. Bolly wood has truly come of age and hats off to the entire team!!!
check CNN-IBN... Chak De is declared as a hit movie... movie started with 50% opening on Friday moved to 90% on sunday and then packed...Moral of the story is - Good Movie works!!
The Movie rox allright. However, the critic here is giving all credit to King Khan. also, I admit that this is probably Shahrukh's best film ever... better than any stupid Yash Chopra or KJO film that he has done. However the 3 aspects of the film that stand out even more than the start are: Brilliant direction and editing... (its perfectly edited), brlliant action ( the hockey sequences are awesome.), and finally the stars of the film... the team. I DO NOT AGREE at all with the critic on their acting. Their rawness and the way they mouth their dialogues are the USP of the film. He is completely wrong that they are deplorable. They were the ones who got all the Ct's. I know a critic usually pans a film... but keeping a pulse on the audience is absolutely essential.

i dont want to get inot any arguement whether sharukh is the best or not i just want to say that chak de is one of the best sports rather than sports one of the best inspirational movie ever made and shahrukh has done a exceptional job and we have to give credit all the film unit for such a beautiful movie and i wanna say with my all heart chak de india chak de sharukh chak de womans of india

It astounds me how ppl don't understand the difference between copy and remake. When someone pays the price to buy the rights to remake a movie, it is not plagiarism. Try to push that into your miniscule brain.

yes i agree with u its a superb movie and whatever people want to say but shahrukh is a phenomenon.if people r ready to hate and wrte abut him that means he has some source of energy which attracts people.its like the saying goes U CAN HATE HIM,U CAN LOVE HIM BUT U CANT IGNORE HIM...........CHKA DE INDIA CHAK DE SHARUKH
2 hrs 45 minutes without any songs, kept audience glued to the screen. The movie is the perfect gift to audience on even of Independence Day. Although similar movies have been made earlier, but Chuk De India (CDI), has hit the screens at the right time when Media hype on any sport (cricket in India) is so much that it can make and break players! The movie has the perfect does of SRK, although he must have been dying to do his usual style, the director did convince him to not to. During the end, when SRK starts with \'70 minute!!\' - I thought here comes SRK back to his usual self, but somehow he did stray and delivered in a different way. It is foolish to compare CDI with any other movie, Lagaan/Swades/Iqbal etc. All are awesome in their own way. Finally - it would also be harsh to compare SRK and any other actor in Bollywood/Tollywood or any other ollywood. All the greats are in a league of their own. I feel so fortunate to have grown up seeing all the great performances of BigB/SRK/SmallB/Hritik/Aamir/Rajni/Kamal or any other legend of \'Indian\' Cinema. We should remember that all these are Indian actors to people outside India. Jai Hind!
