any one who has doubt abt SRK's acting should watch his film "DAR". I don't see any actor who perform the contrast role like DDLJ,DAR and now CHAK de ..In earlier two films he perform the role of die heart lover boy..and he perform it so well and undoutlly those role can only be perfome by SRK...Then comes swades...what a beautifull acting of srk..these films simply reflects the SRK brilliance ..hats off two shahrukh...
i had read the reviews and wasnt keen on watching the movie(would have been big mistake) then in the local i heard an middle aged lady saying "agar chak de jaisi movies banney lagi, toh india main rape aur women abuse he nah ho" this caught hold of my curiosity! kuddos to the film makers and the whole chak de team! ;D
But still there are a few places which could have come out better specially the dialogues where in they could have been more motivating than they were. Have you ever heard how a military man convinces his troops to follow him and win the war. Becos in the field and during the game of cricket or hockey or tennis or anyother game for that matter, it%u2019s a war out there and nothing else. You cannot let down the team like this becos your actions are what will change the course of history. But apart from weak dialogues at places this movie is very inspiring and good to watch. Shah Rukh and Vidya Malvade, who was really difficult to find in the movie, have done a decent job and in fact it was Sagarika (Preeti Sabharwal) who should have been the main female lead, I feel. regards ragini www.indiantvtoday.com

Any one notice that in the time of India-Pakistan match Mr. Mir Ranjan Negi himself played the role of Indian coach. And Mr. Mir himself helped the crew of the film by giving coaching to the girls. I saw in NDTV that the real players of that India-Pakistan match also saw the movie. And they also admitted that the story is very close to reality. Some of them was into tears in the theater. Because its a true story. so those ppl are saying its a copy actually cant see SRK's success. So they started to doing propaganda that the movie is copy etc etc etc. And I want to inform those people that there are many Hollywood films also which are copy of other foreign film. Till today many films of Hollywood is copied from great Japanese director Akira Kurosawa' film. Like even Sholay also copied from Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. So stop making propaganda.
Chak De was touching...this was the first time in 10 months that I watched a film, and was plain lucky to get treated to 16 unknown girls packing in a decent acting and more than decent hockey action performance. Sharukh was the icing on the cake with his performance as restrained as Aamirs in RDB and as magnetic and living as Aamir's in Lagaan. The fact that Aamir was a state level tennis player and SRK a wicketkeeper selected by famous coach Gursharan Singh, has helped them in packing that extra in these sports based movies.

excuse me....you got most of the things right...however shahrukh was not a keeper, but a mid-field player in HOCKEY!!
Guys, I have been watching movies from Mumbai for a long time along with obviously main stream hollywood. I am a movie buff if you will, since I see on average about 150 new movies in the theatre every year (I cant count the number on cable) and have done that for over 13 years now.
Chak De is probably the best made Hindi movie in a while. Koodos to Shah Rukh Khan for taking a chance. I never ever felt for any charecter Shah Rukh played except the first TV series he acted in Fauji. In this movie you are kind of forced to feel for him and his emoting is kept to a bear minimum.
Koodos to Shamin Amin. THe man did a fantastic job on this movie. It is classy. None of the cheesy mumbai lines that make you cringe in your seat and then look around to see if there is anyone other than our Indians watching the film.
Guys, fantastic job and I am going to watch it a second time. I will also make my friends watch it. My wife and I are very happy that we were able to see this from Mumbai.
Yesrtday on 8th August 2007, NDTV was taking interview of ' Mr. ShahRukh Khan' and talking to talk about his film "CHAK DE INDIA" In the interviww, at one point our Mr, STUPID " Shahrukh Khan" said that " ONLY HE HIMSLELF CAN DO SUCH ROLE OF A COACH, IF HE CANNOT DO THIS ROLE OF A COACH, THEN THERE IS NO ACTOR WHO CAN DO THIS ROLE OF A COACH" in the moive "chak de India".
None of the great actors like Dilipkumar, Mr, Bachchan or Mr. Aamir Khan has given such remark in any interview on TV or Newspaper. Recently on 7th August, Mr. Bachchan got the NATIONAL AWARD FOR BEST ACTOR FOR "BLACK". In the intervies on various TV NEWS Channel 'HE NEVER SPOKE THAT ONLY HE CAN DO THE ROLE OF TEACHER OF BLIND PEOPLE".
On the contrary he said to TV achors as 'YE TO AAP LOGO KA BADAPPAN HAI KE AAP LOG MUJE IS KABIL SAMJTE HAI.
This shows how a good and disciplined actor will speak on interview. "SRK" neve gave such wealty words to anyone including "Aamir Khan" for his "OSCAR NOMIANATED FILM LAGAAN" In that film Mr. Aamir khan was weaging DHOTI. Now can "SRK" wear only DHOTI and make the fim hit.
"Noway forget it" Aamir Khan inspite of such a great actro never said he is the best and only he can do such role of "Lagaan".

First of all I am not any one's fan. Let me clarify this first of all. I like Hollywood film much more than Bollywood. But as a good movie viewer I cant shut my mouth on baseless arguments on SRK. So I want to clarify some of the question which I think baseless.
1) SRK is the media created SUPERSTAR???
Ans. First of all if we look back last few year then we cant not see any kind of media praise in the faviour of SRK. From 2000 onwards in every year he used to compare with every rising actor like Hrithik, Abhisekh, Shahid. And lastly with BigB. And in every time the conclusion came out that "SRK IS FINISHED. SOME ..... HAS COME TO TAKE HIS POSITION." But in every time SRK came out with his own popularity.
2)SRK is not a big actor.So he has no contribution in Bollywood???
Ans. Yes.SRK is not a big actor like Amir or BigB. Even SRK himself admitted that. But that not mean he has no value in the Bollywood. In hollywood Tom Cruise is not so big actor like Tom Hanks, Nicholas Cage. But he is the biggest star in Hollywood. And he has major contribution on the industry.
3)For all die heart SRK hater.....
I know many of them who say that "I dont like SRK." But whenever any movie of him release they are the first one who went to theater. And after coming from theater they again start to say that the movie is so crap & how SRK acted so cheaply in that movie. So I cant understand ur mentality. If you dont like him then why you go to watch his movie!!

I think we should be good film admirers rather than criticising because we donot like a particular actor.. bottom line is Chak de India rocks!!!! the ctors have done a fab job.. Sharukh might not have acted well in all movies, but in this movie he has done very well.. beyond doubt!!! I dont know what Sharukh said on NDTV, I dont even bother... but I enjoyed all of my money I invested to watch the movie... If something is good we better appreciate it.. Sharukh and Chak de India have done exceedingly well inspite of the subject being hockey.. time to respect all sports man!!

4)DDLJ is a crap movie???
Many haters of SRK like DDLJ much than SRK lovers.I talked with many SRK haters in ORKUT. And one thing is common between them that they all wrote in their profile that their one of the favourite movie is DDLJ. But they never admit that they liked SRK one time.
5)And at last SRK is gay!!!!!!
This type of rumours cant effect SRK's popularity so by spreading this type of thing you cant melign SRK's image.
