Not sure I would place very much importance to their talk as they were concentrating very much on mountaineering in the Himalayas and giving credence to the culture of the place, and Tibetan Buddhism happened to play a part of that discussion. Buddhist mountaineering anyone?
Martin Scorsese's "Kundun" is a touching movie about the travails faced by the Dalai Lama when he was forced to flee Tibet in 1959. The movie provides an insight into the socio-political problem of Tibet. For those who would like to have a quick introduction to the Tibet issue, the movie is a good starting point.
