Indeed it was good that finally brain and beauty united.Brain means grandson of Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan, whose 'Madhushala' is a best poetry of all time.Beauty means Aishwarya Roy who won the Miss World award.Let us pray that India get an offspring from them combined of brain and beauty to cherish the countrymen.

Public Figures owe us a lot

Aggreed that Abhishek and Aish are entitled to privacy but being public figures they should have, at least, released an album of wedding ceremonies so that thousand of their fans who have been eagerly awaiting cold have had a glimpes...In my opinion they owe us at least this much.....their popularity, riches and stardom, are all due to the love of public..they are what they are, due to US.

Let\'s demand for something which is ours, rightfully......Is Amitabh listening!!!!!!!!

LUCKNOW: At a press conference in the state capital an advocate from Bara Banki, Amir Haider, levelled allegations against Jaya Bachchan and argued that her husband, Amitabh Bachchan was falsely claiming farmer status. He demanded that Jaya Bachchan should resign her recently won Rajya Sabha seat.

Amir Haider, a former member of AICC and UPCC, made claims which sounded politically motivated and open to scrutiny. If there was some truth in the claims made by Haider about the agricultural property bought by Amitabh Bachchan, he could not convincingly substantiate it.

He did not produce the papers which he claimed he possessed that would prove the bungling done by Bachchan. Haider claimed that he had written about the issue to the President of India, the Chief Election Commissioner, the Pune court dealing with Bachchan's farmer status there, CBI and also to the Maharashtra chief minister.

He alleged that the earlier DM of barabanki, Ashish Goyal was transferred as he did not comply with the orders of the Mulayam Singh Yadav government. The Fatehpur tehsil of the district was not providing the documents, he said..case is out a out fraud..its curse of late parveen babi.YhyDW

I agree. Atleast, Bachchans should have the courtesy to keep the public informed through the media by giving them few photographs. Amibabh could have managed this in dignified way at the same time reserving his right to privacy. It is nothing but a show of wealth, arrogance and ignorance. Even the invitees were highly selectively hand picked particularly the ones who he may need for survival on the celluloid screen and a few inert individuals. It is sad that Mr Bachchan has ignored the pulic of the country who prayed for his health when he was recovering from the accident.

I disagree. The Bachchans have a right to privacy and do not have to release anything
to the public. If it was your wedding would you want the whole of India to see pictures of the
ceremony and gossip about it? They don't owe
the public anything. And also, it's not like
the public did them any favor by making them
so popular..our desire to watch entertaining movies is what made them popular...an even exchange.

I agree with your understanding concept of privacy Zoheb. Nobody is asking them to display their tender moments in public. But what the people and particularly his fans wished for is a magnanimity from Bachchan by sharing his happiness with his fans. Thats all. If Mr Bachchan wants adhere to privacy so strictly, he can. Nobody has a moral right to question him or stop him. He could have displayed a sharing attitude that would have made him more closer to the community. At the end of the day he a hero only on the silver screen.

How could the Bachans have the Abhi-Ash wedding a private affair, when their fame in stardom is because of the common man. It shows what a family it is.

media slaps poor public
by attacker on Apr 21, 2007 06:20 PM

bcoz of too much media hype of ash-abhi marriage. media shows each n every thing happened in the marriage.

media covers the costlier ornaments, dresses, food and everything in this marrriage. this is a slap on the face of poor people in india. a layman cant afford this much in his/her marriage. and by repeatedly covering of all these stupid things have a very bad impact on society. it may cause as a depression for many people who cant afford this much money.
