Amitabh and global warming
by simba on Apr 20, 2007 03:49 PM  | Hide replies

Recently I saw a newsitem on CNN where Amitabh was flown into London to speak about global warming and climate changing. Although his baritone voice lends a lot of gravitas I was apalled to think of how much of petrol was being used to fule a Volvo bus to run a distannce between their two properties. Maybe someone has to tell him that at times practise what you preach is something one needs to do and not just ad lib

Abhi-Ash marriage
by mousumi mukherjee on Apr 20, 2007 03:21 PM  | Hide replies

It is really surprising that our media has no other issue these days than this particular marriage. When Bachchan family is not allowing media to cover the ceremony then why media and also the public are getting so hyper about it I really do not understand. To my opinion, media as well as public should boycott such celebrity marriage at least once and teach them some lesson that without public support, they are just nothing.

anu,
Wake up to the real world...most news articles are about humans. You may find an article or two about animals in the farmers weekly or perhaps about extra-terrestrials in a UFO magazine.

Hope you get adjusted to normal human news soon!

No other important work.?
by Sreenath Reddy on Apr 20, 2007 03:17 PM

Indian media is just behind money and profits for their pockets. They donot do anything real good for people. So thought we donot like we need to see these kind of news until Ash & Abhi finish their first night and come back.

Manjunath,
Can we have a news portal that only covers Indian army? Do you really think that such a portal can be classified as a general news portal?

Rediff is a general news portal that covers a range of articles. If you dont like a article you have the option not to read it...but if others want to read it, you cannot stop them either.

Fully agree with Rattlesnake!

Bunch of hypocrites who first read the article and then act as if they are not interested in celebrity news because they want show themselves are intellectuals!

All news sites monitor the number of times an article is read, so if they persist their coverage there is clearly a demand for it!
