Dear pl explain properly...What u are saying above is all wrong...and what is right is Great people becomes great due to thier simplicity and humbleness...and Rajanikant is known for his courtsness, simplicity, humanity, humbleness and in a nutshell he is just a great Human being. I remember a few years back when He and Kamal hassan came across to Mr Amitabh bachan Rajanikant touched the feet of Mr. Bachan when normally no other south Indian super stars would do (Kamal hassan never do that due to his ego...and that is one of the reason why Kamal even though has more facial expression and a better actor compared to Rajanikant is lagging far behind Rajani...just like Shahrukh khan,....a person full of ego...what a stupid attitude...I love all shahrukh hit films and enjoy but I hate Shahrukh for his ego...) goood day

Please be informed that Chandramukhi is a remake of Malayalam flim Manichitrathal and not the kannada flim Aaptha Mithra as mentioned.

No friend, Chandramukhi was made in tamil only when Mr Rajnikanth was impressed after watching the film Apthamitra in kannada and not Manichitrathal in malayalam. And the reports mentioned by Rediff is absolutely TRUE.

Malayalam movie name Manichitrathazhu released in 1993, Apthamitra released in earlier 2004, Rajni impressed by seen Apthamitra and agreed to act. But the original version Manichitrathazhu Shobana acting/dancing is very good compare to all remakes.

Anto, you are right, its a Superb acion from Mohan Lal and Shobhana but what Rediff mentioned is that Rajini Saw ApthamIthra for three times and decided to act in its Tamil Version.

I think the name of Malyalam film is MANICHITRATAYU"... and for this last scene when Shobana was having some hysteria her facial expression of fiery woman...gained her the national award for best actress for that particuar year..i think..... good day

Kamal is a great actor and do have better skills compared to Rajani...but it is Rajani who is earning more for each films and it is rajani who has many times better number of fans?????? why read the below u will understand...simply being a good actor is not enough.....one should be a good human being too.....

It is indeed very kind of SuperStar Rajnikanth to appreciate and encourage people like Soori and upcoming Actor Vijay, this appreciation will act like Tonic for the new comers, thats why he is still Superstar of Tamil films.
Dear friends, Why you people are targeting Mr. rajanikant. Why you people commenting using such a worse words on such a great actor. Each actor will be having his own mannerism/acting style etc. Why you people are bothered over his looks. Nobody is perfect. Every actor/actresses(Both south india and north india)will be havind one or other flaws in their looks. Why you people are bothered about his contributions to society. You just treat him as a actor and see the movies, otherwise leave it. He is also human being. He never told the people to treat him like a god. You people only behaves like that. He never told the people to worship him like a god. Its all people's act. Unnecessarily don't blame on such a great actor. Every south indian likes him because of generosity, good humanity and good ethical values.

hey Rajini beat Jakie chan in Sivaji. Rajini - 45 crores Chennai rights Jackie Chan - 25 crores only. Why Rajini is going to be paid for 45 crores is that AVM is expecting 200 crores for Sivaji.

Mahesh....Heights of it! Rajini is a Great acor when companred your Bachans and SRKs...besides that he is a Great Human Being. Sober and down to earth...Please dont abuse without knowing anything about a person. I am basically from Hyderabad still I like Rajnikanth coz of his style and Acting capabilities and above all a Kind Human Being......
I am fan of Mr.Rajji and watched almost all his films for entertainment. But I feel he would have done better to the society using his mass appeal and influence.
Could anyone please explain what Mr.Rajji has done to Indian society. Cinema is an entertainment industry, ofcouse because of Mr.Rajjini's films many get jobs, ofcouse every actor is doing that. Otherthan that he has done anything to the society being a popular actor.
Say example, he have contacts in politics, he got fans, he got mass appeal, ofcouse he got money, using any of this what is his contribution to the society?

Hey political Srinivasan, what u know about the film stars of India. They are better than our useless politicians. Rajini, Chiru, BigB, etc had done more than our politicians for our society. For Kargil War, Gujarat Eatthquake, Tsunami, Kumbakonam fire incident, etc, only these people ha donated more money than Infosys, Polaris, Satyam, TCS, Politicians, sachin, ganguly, buffaloas, pigs, etc. And they had became great personality not because of U but by their talents and hard work. If any film is bad, can we go and watch. No. We will simply say "HE IS WASTE". So only if it is a great film we will go and watch.
Ok, in the last election, to whom you voted??????Congress?? BJP?? DMK?? ADMk??? Go and ask ur question to them

Cenima is a profession like doctors,Engg,Scientist,teacher.. etc etc...
Eienstine is no 1 scientist.so we celebrate him. WHY????????? He's not done this for FREE.right. WE can take abdulkalam also.He worked and got salary for that.that's it.
But they got benifited ,they have the intention to do some thing for society.That's it.
Rajini also is no 1 in his profession .He is entertaining us for long years.But we are paying but even though he also wants to do something for society like abdul kalam and etc...
