I like Rajnikant, even though I haven't seen any of his movies. I like him bcos he is good human being. But unfortunatly I don't like most tamilians, they create groupism where ever they go.

Well, you have to analyze why they create groups. If the North indians are going to separate them, they'll ofcourse create groups. But basically, they are good hearted and well mannered.

This is not the case with Tamilians alone. North Indians in TN will forms their on group. They don't try to learn Tamil or mingle with others.

Guys, Rajinikanth may not look so beautifull as SRK or Amir khan, he has talent i think most of the guys who are abusing Rajinikanth doesnot have the common sense to think... he has better talent to make people follow him...thats why he is famous not only in india but even in foreign countrys...how many indian actor has done this???????

Why talk about freedom fighters when you know nothing and specially when ppl here were only talking about groupism. I am not a tamilian but have been in TN for about 8 years. I've heard they prefer talking only in tamil and not in english even with visitors. I agree but we can't generalize the statement. But yes, I WILL certainly agree that North Indians create groups and hence receive the same response/reaction. This is not only in India but prevalent in the US too! Why don't we just change our mindsets and take pride in saying we are INDIANS? Wake up boss! take a peep into history books...

Rahul, Who the hell are you? Do you understand the history behind Tamilians and South of India. If not, better check your history books before commenting. Remember, that generalization does not help and it is because of such idiotic views of some stupid people that the nation gets divided. Pak doesn't has a cinema for itself. People there watch pirated DVD from india they don't have guts to make heroins like ashwarya rai but like to talk against inidan movies after watching them . they will ban indian movies in therates there by mullas . All these mullas wiol watch hritrik and amitab movies at home .. when they come out they will say ..its against our culture , tradition and islam so don't watch till the next release
One thing all you guys have to understand that - its not only Rajini who gets benefitted from his movies. There are thousands of ppl behind the screens who are getting benefited - ppl who works in his movies, ppl who works in audio stores, theatres, who prints stickers for films, who produces T-shirts photo with rajini pics and the list goes on. And you have to accept the fact, that no other actor does this. He also helps the producers who had gone down in their careers. This movie Baba was a flop and he returned the money to the distributors to avoid their loss. Also - Please keep in mind that he is a regualr tax payer.
There is no need for this long debate. I do agree that there are lot of actors who does well in acting other than Rajini. But Rajini is more than a actor. The whole film industry gets profited with his film.
its really a pain to see ppl debating on unwanted things.

Awesome Pad!! Well said!! That is the very reason he is the most respected actore in this side of the country. And even at this heights he is downright moderate. And his movies are almost always family entertainments with good values taught. So why not enjoy and appreciate them rather than debating and trying to soil his image.

YEs man I agree 100% Rajani is super star ever Indian Film Industry with lots of Spirit . I am Kannadigas but , I love the artist , He have to unite kannadigas and Tamil away from the politician .Tamil and kannada people should work together to be the best friends than creating the hateredness and spoiling the souht indian image everywhere.

Its true even though I am a tamilian I watch more of Hindi films and less tamil films in calendar year as Hindi films are realistic than Tamil films
I openly accept that tamil films adore Hero and make them a superman which is not good for young children

Dear Krishnendu, Every actor has a USP - Rajni's fantastic hold over his fans is beyond logic. So let's accept this fact. If Indians are emotional, I think Tamilians top the list - look at how they worship their heros - from MGR to Rajni. Rajnikant's life story [he is a Marathi -real name Shivaji Gaikwad] is the stuff a phenomenon is made of. Please don' compare him with anybody except himself, because his is surely the most UNIQUE actor in the world. I can only think of another actor - Dada Kondke who created a record by churning out 8 superhits withour a break in Marathi.

That is the whole problem with anybody from north of the Vindhyas, you just assume all South Indians are alike. Can you please check the map of India and you will notice that there 4 different states (not including Goa and Pondicherry here), each of them with distinctly different languages, diverse cultures and traditions. So please pull your head our of the hole and learn. To Mr. Vijayasarathy who wrote this article, Chandramukhi is a remake of the Malayalam Movie Manichitrathazhu starring Mohanlal. I am surprised the Rediff editor did not catch this glaring error.

May be its original is Malayalam.But Rajanikanth saw the movie apthamithra in Kannada and decided to make remake of it.The songs of chandramukhi too catch few tunes from apthamithra.that is the fact:he even called apthamithra music director gurukiran and praised him for his work
