'Woh Lamhe' is indeed a very well-made film both in respect of performances and direction as well as for the technical aspects like music and cinematography.
Having watched both ('Gansgter' being the first one) her movies released thus far, there is no doubt that Kangana Ranaut is destined to become a star in Bollywood in the not too distant future. She looks great and boy can she act as well! She has the ability to carry off difficult, sensitive roles with great style and ease, thanks to an endearing "vulnerable look" in her eyes and body language. 'Woh Lamhe' though narrated through the eyes of the male protagonist is very much a heroine-oriented film and Kangana has done full justice to a complex and 'controversial' role. Unlike most of today's heroines she is not just a 'glam doll', and also possesses genuine acting talent! I agree with your reviewer that Shiney Ahuja is perhaps not as good in this movie as his previous films- 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi' and 'Gangster' (in both of which he was absolutely brilliant!)but nevertheless he does a fine job. 'Woh Lamhe' is a sensitively made film that will appeal to the refined audience, which can appreciate substantive cinema
Really a great movie , death scene of sana can be shot long , miss last smile on face of sana as earlier seen in gangster just to say welcome to end of life .
i Saw her both the films, she is a briliant actor, i live in Dubai & trust me people r crazy bout her out here, i think soon she'll take the place of rani mukherjee, best of luck to you kangana.
i'm shocked at rediff's review of Woh Lamhe. The review by the 'great' Taran Adarsh on indiafm is always misleading, but i didn't expect this from rediff. Woh Lamhe is a terrible film and Kangana, for heaven's sake, is an absolute put off the moment she utters a single word... and God forbid if that word is in English, one would simply bang their head! And what was that? Mohit Suri - a brilliant director. I wonder how he can get that credit for shooting a feature film in a daily soap pattern. Just Close Ups throughout the film. Woh Lamhe is one of the bad films of 2006. and Mr. Mahesh Bhatt must give up on cheap publicity to make his films run. Revealing Parveen Babi's private tapes to him in the media was something that only a man without any conscience could do. Please people - do this favour to Parveen Babi's soul... DO NOT WATCH WOH LAMHE!
