Is this a big news?
by Naveen on Sep 20, 2006 10:56 AM

I think we'll better off if Rediff starts writing something useful. Not something about some couple on XYZ show..

i agree...why such a big deal???
by prashant on Sep 20, 2006 07:38 AM

Why the hell is it a news?? they got eliminated in the first round...it would have made sense if they got thru to the last round! There was Raj in "The apprentice" who made a fool of himself!..watching him one would think if most indians are as stupid as him!!
How about bringing some useful news for a change..Rediff??

To all Rediff bashers
by Atul on Sep 20, 2006 02:52 AM

Give rediff a break, it was newsworthy on some level.
I don't know how many of you noticed but there aren't many Indians who are fond of competitions. Indians are brainiacs but non athletic kind. if rediff is trying to promote some balls in Indians, it is necessary.
I saw the episode and yes it had some lessons for us. The show had a gay couple, an elderly couple, a woman with a prosthetic leg and our very own Arti and vipul. And you would know what happened next, all of these people with all their incapabilities beat the Indian representation out of the competition.
I say if you can't win, DON'T REPRESENT MY COUNTRY...

I think more and more such articles are appearing on Rediff that try to make news out of some silly thing.
Certainly, the portal might see lot of hits on such news but are they recording/getting rating for them.

1 billion indians on earth. two people featuring in a tv show watched by few people in one country. and here is rediff going gaga over them.

What a waste of time
by Adam on Sep 19, 2006 06:57 AM

Haven't you guys at rediff got better things to do. What's the obsession of the media in India about the achievements of Indians living abroad?? I live in Australia and people just view us as another person not as Indians.

Getting on an episode of the amazing race is not a big thing whereas it is big news on your movies page. The article goes on to talk abou the couple as though they are big heroes. Get over it man and start writing about movies and not indulging in unnecessary hero worship. This kind of bull crap happens only in India. Mera Desh Mahaan....

I cannot believe this. This is news for you??
by Ravi on Sep 18, 2006 06:01 PM

Some reality T.V show in USA showcasing Indian couple is a big news for rediff.com\\\'s movies section. What a Shame!!!
Anything western (TV, movies - doesn\\\'t matter) is news for you and you have to go drooling over, rediff!!!
Just like your Oscars mania - as if that is the end of the world. I pity you.

Thanks!
Ravi.
