The movie is almost a scene by scene copy of of the spanish film " Carne Tremulla " directed by the legendary Pedro Almodovar. The director is very clever , he knows that he would be caught overnight if he copied a hollywood movie, but since spanish films have a limited audience in India he had the audacity to go on with it. I am surprised that the rediff reviewer did not catch the connection. I figured this out within the first 20 minutes of the film. I got the added fun of seeing how the film-maker had ruined the script by trying to indianize it. Anyway the scenes are cliched ,there is no performance to be singled out for praise, hence a pretty pathetic second effort from director Onir.
i read the review of bas ek pal and then i went and saw it. Unlike the review the movie is a disaster and it is a shame on the name of indian cinema. Most people in the cinema hall were laughing at the film rather than getting engrossed with the emotions. i think it should get an award for the worst film of the year
