STUPID REVIEW BY REDIFF.Harris music for VV is the best in this year.when all the papers and tv media goes haywire and praising about the music,it's silly for rediff to mark music as minus.plz don't leave these amaeturize writers to review great films and good music and spoil your site reputation. thank u.
I disagree on krishnakumar's review on couple of points. 1. Music and re-recording - Music by Harris Jayaraj is of excellent standard. Harris scores high points with songs like 'karka karka','partha naal muthal','vennilavey','uyiriley'. Neruppey song is the only mediocre song in the film. Harris has also done effective job at rerecording in this film, sound recording helps maintain the tempo of the movie and helps viewer stay engaged in the movie. 2. Villain acting - Daniel Balaji has portrayed his character of serial killer perfectly. With his dialogue delivery and body language, Balaji has shown the ruthless attitude of the character. 3. Camerawork and editing - camerawork by ravi varman and editing by anthony deserves special mention, this has helped the quality of the movie very much. Kamal plays a character of his age, effortlessly and with dignity, true delight to watch him. Gautham has immense potential, his style in execution of the movie says it. On the downside, there are many violent, disturbing scenes in the movie. This is something Gautham should pay more attention to in his next movie. Hope kamal, gautham combo comes up with more movies in the future.
your comment on harris music is not acceptable because it plays a vital in the film other than camera and editing and the way he composed music for the film absolutely superb as like hollywood. I totally regret your comment on harris music.
A stylish movie with a new story portrayed in the same screen play of 'Kakkha Kakkha', as most of the scenes gets us back to episode one as the director calls, Especially the murder of Kayal holds as good as the murder of Maya in the previous version. The crew has decided that let it be like the previous one, as they carried some catching names like Maya, Ilamaaran. But overall, a lot better than the upcoming Tamil movies in this season. The movie is all about a crime investigation of a murder in Kiranur and unveils out up to New York to give us a surprise that murderers are a life savers, but with still a twist that they are a psychopathic homo duos. Then it becomes rather a field for the hero and the physcopaths.Hats off to Gautham for the vision that he has about tamilnadu police, at least be it in movies. He has become rather a tech fizzy as compared to his debut performance in Minnale. Kamal does his role ease and confidence, perfectly fitting a typical TN cob with a little less belly. Jyothica is one of the actresses that we have got who knows to act as well, does her role beautifully. Prakash raj plays an eminent role and makes his mark as he as he came to know the pathetic
..though i did not understand the language of the movie as i stay in mumbai.where VV is only available in mat morning shows in faroff multiplexes ..i thoroughly enjoyed it only due to god actor..PADMASHRI KAMAL HAASAN ..u just cant beat him ..hats off to him..going by what all of the others have written as reviews..i cant find too many faults with the movie.. YES music cud had been better..after harris jayraj putting in for anniyan. but all in all a engrossing entertainer .and plss mail me for such south indian movies at my id nikman123@rediffmail.com. I m looking out for ghajini,arin,cyanide,chandramukhi..and many more.pls do help me in this
Songs plays a vital role in the film. But the photography was not up to the level while comparing to gauthams previous film (Kakka kakka). good film interesting.
The censor has not done its job fully well. This story only gives a new idea for how to hide a murder and go about in the city as if nothing had happened. Though Kamal's romance scenes have reduced. The murders are shit.
one of the greatest movie in all these years compared to rajini's chandramukni and shankar's anniyan!! had some story in it. it has beaten all records!! way to go ulaga nayagane!!!
