The first calssic from BOLLYWOOD.
by Abhilash on Sep 04, 2006 03:31 PM  | Hide replies

Fantastic Movie!!!!! The first ever calssic to come out of BOLLYWOOD.

I have never seen such a well planned & integrated plot in a bollywood movie (Only Rang De Basanti comes anywhere near). This one goes to my classic movie collections (the first one from bollywood). All the karans and chopras out there go and watch the movie and learn what does script writing and direction means. Well done Hirani!!! and applauds for Sanjay, Arshad & Boman

Send a rose to Superno...
GET WELL SOON!
How acn u compare Preity Zinta 9that too in Salaam Namaste) with Vidya Balan?
Preeti was simply irritating while Vidya is cool!
Look at the message in the film.
You have not seen the film from your heart, just don't go for jokes.
Bapu's silence fits perfect into story!

Lage Raho Doesn't Rock - First PROPER feedback
by superneo on Sep 04, 2006 02:53 PM

Hi All
I have read most of the reactions here. Well looks to me that people got carried away with the hype and excitement of Munnabhai. Nobody is bothered to thing for a moment about the movie. Well, just like all, even I am a die hard fan of Munnabhai. I just loved the original movie. It was truly a classic. But coming to Lage raho(Part II), the same cannot be said. The movie lacks to humour dose which was expected. The "ghost" of gandhi appearing in front of Munnabhai was very vague. The movie felt a bit dragging in the 2nd half. The idea of RJ was a rip off from Salaam Namaste.."Gooooooood Morning", wht Vidya Balan says was same as Priety Zinda, "Saaaaaalam Namaste". Also, viewers were confused about adopting violence and non-violence, cause in the end, Munnabhai still uses Violence on that jothish for assert his point of view. Even the "silence" of Baapu in press conference was unanswered. Over all..I can't say the movie if a hit and all that..its just passable. SAD ..VERY SAD..

See only if you .....
by Deepak Bhosale on Sep 04, 2006 02:47 PM

This one is a must see if you are tired of latka-jatkas, item song numbers, mindless voilence and heavy duty emotional dramas... Munna is lovable, Circuit is funny as ever, Boman is at his cruel best and ya Vidya Balan is refreshing !

Go for it Mamu !!!

Good days for Indian Cinema
by Raja Mohan on Sep 04, 2006 02:47 PM

After Munnabhai MBBS I saw many people showing respect to the sweepers and other workmen exclusively. A MNC went ahead to honor the sweeper community in the mid night while they were cleaning the empty roads at that time.
This is the power of Cinema which can drive the people towards positive thinkings, can teach human values when made in simple and appealing way.
For instance we do not need the style of respscted Manoj Kumar to describe patriotism in the form of loud dubbing and heavy dialogues. There are many ways to present a point and I think the way Munnabhai series are presented is worth appreciation.
The success of these movies also indicate that movies need not be made with provocative or foreign topics and producers can still make money.
Best regards,
Raja Mohan
