All of you including Mr. Sen and Ms. Verma who are whining and carping about SRK's Don, I think ya'll need to get a life! :>}
I watched Don a couple of days ago and I just loved it. I think SRK did a wonderful job as Don. I say it now and I will say it again .. and again .. and again .. and again .. and again ..... that no one else in the current era of bollywood could've pulled off this role as Shahrukh did. Not Jr. Bachchan (gimme a break), not Ajay Devgan (yawns), not Akshay K. (oh come on!), and definitely (with all due respect) not THE BIG B.
Big B was awesome in his day and in his portrayal of Don, so don't get me wrong for my previous statement.
All I'm saying is, it's futile to compare the two versions. Period.
The movie is very stylish and worth your money.
Quit quibbling and please stop bashing Shahrukh. He rocks all the way. BTW Priyanka looked absolutely stunning! Go watch Don if you haven't already!
Don SRK movie is one of the worst movies of bollywood.He cannot even match Amitabh Bachchan in his wildest dreams.Worst actor of the bollywood in worst movie.
I saw Don yesterday(29 Oct 06).Its a good film only when you see it as a film which is made by Farhan Akhtar and Don as Shahrukh Khan.But when you go inside the hall with original DON in mind,then you feel dissappointed with the story,characters,script and everything you take into count.The reason being the script of original DON was interesting and a thrill experience to enjoy with and songs coming at right time.Remember the songs :Yeh Mera Dil , E Hai Bambai Nagaria,Are Diwano Mujhe Pehchano,Khaike Pan Banaras Wala.[Music was effective].Acting of Amitabh as Don and Vijay was superb and he carried the whole film on his shoulders with great aplomb.So for Zeenat and a well supported cast [Pran,Iftekhar,Om Shivpuri] and a dance of Helen to cherish with. So,much can be said about original DON and will always be remembered for all the praise already done. But,DON by Farhan only will be remembered for the reason to fool the audience by saying that film is a remake of DON and making mockery of the original story.Sorry to say , none of the AMITABH film can be remade for any reason. Its not a tribute but a rape done by Farhan to original script."SRK CAN NEVER TOUCH THE HEIGHT OF BIG B.."
i have seen that movie, i just do not have words to express my frustration, and anguish against the great director Mr Farhan Akhtar and the superstar(supposedly)Mr Shahrukh Khan. It was a total failure coz even on a sunday evening show 4.00p.m the theatre was occupied by not more that 50 audiences in fame adlabs(rahguleela Mall) Mr Farhan and Shahrukh there are better ways for paying tribute to someone than creating a mockery like this. This movie is nothing but a mockery of the original version. Next time please bear in mind, that do not try to janta(public) for granted.
Sharukh never looks like a DON.He is fit for romantic film.He can not put his leg in Amitabh's footwear.Amitabh is Amitabh.In bollywood there is no option for Amitabh.He is simply THE GREATEST
I found thid movie to be full of over acting done by Shahrukh. There was nothing in this movie other masala and checking ones patience. the best past of this movies was the end- where the screen goes blank :-)
I plead beg you Shahrukh to please stick to your women movies, where you mingle around with women from the beginning of the movie to the end. The khaalas, phupis, aapaas, bhabhis and didis. You are just not good enough to face men. You dont look MARD enough. Letting out smoke doesnt make you a MARD. And please spare amitabh dont ever make a khichdi out of his movies That man is great your arent even a poor copy
I just saw this movie and was overwhelmed, the way movie was made and suddendly turned during the end. Its not fare to compare Big B with King Khan. Times have changed and so have the ways of making films.
I would say SRK has done a very good job. Well Done King Khan.
No matter Critic has given 2 star rating. I would give 4/5.
