Don't understand why is everyone making a big fuss over this. RGV fans would be hoping to see the classic in a new package and Sholay diehards, just hope that this is as bad a remake as the Don was. If it is good you will all enjoy it to the fullest, if it is bad, it will be erased from your memory within a week of its release. Nevertheless, you will all get a chance to comment on it.... even RGV. So let Mr. RGV, do what he does best...packaging. All the best!
Well abt RGV we can understand a flop director needs money so he can do anythng for that, but regarding Big B ,Show man of millinium i think this was the title what he gains once,i dont know how he got that because the person cant decide by himself whats Right & whats Wrong...how could he gain such a title...or the matter is some what different as he is in need of huge ransome amount for his only son's marriage he is also gone MaD along with RGV.....better change your self or quit from the Industry
Remake of sholay will be quite exciting for us . . .that is us audience. . .it will be a very vary and most challenging job which ram gopal varma will face. . lets see what our directors and producers are capable of . . .hope they dont create terror out of the sholayyyyyyyy. . . . . and ya i am a fan of amitab so lets see. .
Original "Sholay" has been my favorite. i feel its not really required that one remakes the original scripts that became super hits like Sholay, Umrao Jaan, Don, etc. But.......... its not bad to remake them if the producers and directors who wish to remake the original hits if they feel they can redo the films to suit the current society. there is nothing wrong in it.
As for casting Big B as Gabbar......... i think he is the best suitable actor to play the character
