" Why do people make movies like this? Who watches them? Do you think children's cinema, as a genre, is better left ignored if this is how Bollywood approaches it? Will you take your children to watch Bhoot Unkle? ".....

isn't this a bit off the mark...? i mean seriously... won't will the film's(its one nevertheless) publicity be affected...? discussions like these should be done after like a year after their release...

this is totally waste of money, we don't have time for such movies. We need something fresh and entertaining. Please don't waste your time. Try to concentrate something that we can relate to our lifes. Comedy is the best option if you have to make new movies. This is an evergreen subject

Is it a horror movie
by prabal on Oct 07, 2006 01:31 AM

If it is then jackie's weird getup sustains the genre. Of course if he stops looking like an overgrown ape!

Its so surprising how indian film makers, so convincingly make a fool of themselves, by aping hollywood.Jackie Shroff's take on Jack Sparrow is just another jewel in that crown.Having said that we yet do not know if its a take on Pirates of the Carribean. But if it is he is not alone, Hrithik roshan n his dad came up with almost a comic version of superman, which frankly by any standards can only be said to be stupid. When will we have sensible directors who makes sensible remakes like kaante, omkaara n kind.

You are questioning something very fundamental here..

Recently i saw some hoardings of a movie 'Jaana'- let us fall in love in which this guy is hugging a girl and there is a tagline 'life is short...live it...love it..'. I almost had a diabetic stroke...

The problem with all the dream peddlers between Bandra in Andheri in Bombay is that everyone thinks that they are making a super hit. Surrounded by pschyophants, ageing yesteryear super stars and a over used formula as proof of success they unknowingly set about to harass the ordinary junta.

Mind you, some succeed. And some others (a lot of them actually!) give us Bhoot Unkle and Jaana's of this world.
