This book was wonderful. And I pray the audiences that enjoyed the book will fall madly in love with Mira's making of the film. As for censors, well i have to agree with that some of the scenes where both are fully dressed but very sugesstive are no worst nor better than have a momentary nude shot. Besides we have all bodies. brava mira... good job.
Why are we still so parrochial about a natural thing called sex? Grow UP! Its a part of everyday life. Let us stop acting childish and let the beauty love-making take its own course. Here in US people are really into exortic South asian rather Indian girls more than they are into Whites or blacks...u know why? becoz they find them more more beautiful in comparison to their american or european counter parts. Sex and Nudity is a part of what we are, Humans are the only creatures who truely enjoy sex and do it becoz they just enjoy it. And speaking of The Namesake....I have read it intensely and loved every bit of it and really makes u cry!!
cheap publicity... is it not possible at all to make quality movies without such unnecessary scintilliations? let this lady prove herself with some 'non-controversial' clean movies....

I loved "Kamasutra-the love story",my neighbours r black 'n they all asked me "r all Indian women so beautiful?" I felt very proud.Why not? Kamasutra is INDIA's gift to world.Indian people taught the world 'bout SEX so why these stupid double standards?
everyone in my hubby's office has seen "Kamasutra" ( 'n each one of them think Indian women as the most beautiful,voluptuous,sensual,curvacious 'n Intelligent) why can't so called INDIAN people take this as a normal 'n natural part of human BIOLOGY??

Mira makes semi decent movies meant mostly to titiliate...Mira is funny, kow tows & defends Islamist sympathizers and berates the US while makes trashy movies aimed at 'exposing' Indians. .We dare Mira make a movie about Islamic beheadings.
