I almost entirely agree with the review except the bit on Mystique because contrary to what Mr. Sen says she had a reasonable screen time considering the fact that the movie runs just over 90 minutes barring the credits. Also, it is true that there isn't much of a story development here as the movie seems an out and out action film that uses other sequences only for variety. Yet, despite all that, X-3 is good fun and visually stunning with top notch visual effects never ceasing to amaze. All in all a good ime pass movie and while those who have seen the previous installments would have no problem in getting the plot the uniniated too will enjoy the movie if only for the wonderfully shot action sequences. Don't go expecting soemthing on the lines of X1 & 2 becuase this is completely different in mood, in tone and in character development.
P.S. I had read a lot about the after credits scene on the net but guess what I waited alone after all had left and yet it never appeared. All I got was strange stares from the staff at the theatre, all looking quite bemused.
Sorry, but the trailer too didn't come which was half the reason for my going to the movie. I HATE ADLABS.

this review was way off base. it captures much of mystique, more naked shots than before. i cried in this movie and didnt in the others, so it os more emotional. it covered the whole history of mutant vs mutant vs man without the need for the entire 1st movie.
The reviews written by you on rediff are vague. I think you dont have any idea about movies. This movie is absolutely foultless. Grow up man. I m telling u seriously. And please watch the movie once again. I know this time u wil enjoy and understand the movie.

The reviews on rediff are vague , looks like the authors dont have any idea about how the movie is . Its a flawless movie with immense special effects.

raja sen, i really like reading your reviews on rediff, but dude, what u said about x3 is a bit too much.. were you born cynical?? its an amazingly well-paced film, and ratner really has done a lotta justice to what singer started.. the superman promo was good, but thats not the main reason.. good film guys and gals, doint miss it! much better than LOTR undoubtedly!

I disagree with the above poster. I haven't seen the movie, but think that Raja Sen's reviews are consistently well-written and display a great deal of film literacy. Not everyone will have the same opinion about a film. What matters is whether or not a review clearly explains its point of view, which this one does.
I would have loved to see this Movie with my Kid (8 Years Old) He is facinated with caracters and loves to see Action movies.
I had no Idea or any clue as the movie was passed with an A certificate and was expecting it to be Max U/A Movie.
I and my kid both were disapointed as we would miss this movie. I have now opted to view Fanna and Da Vinchi Code this week and not to go for Xmen3 The Last Stand.
If possible i would see the same on DVD latter when the same is realesed.
