Aamir Kajol make the movie worth a watch. Their screen chemistry is awesome.All this years we missed the visual treat. It was like a Kajol come back movie. As for the movie not true to our expectations. Kunal kohli could have scripted it very well but opportunity missed. The suspense is disclosed in the 1st half itself. The entire 2n half was predictable we are just waiting for the movie to end. The cameo's of tabu and shiney were poorly scripted. Yashraj banners always cash on the rising star. Purely business tactics. Hukumat karte hai.
And the rise in tickets bez they hiked the territory price all dadagiri. Yashraj bahut kama liye now make some meanigful cinema.
If only the makers of this film had kept it as simple and thrilling as the 1981 film 'Eye of the Needle', which is very similar to the second half of 'Fanaa'.
Aamir is very good and kaajol still lights up the screen - but together they seem cold and aloof.
The whole movie was boring. Aamir irritates in the first half, while performs well in 2nd half. Kajol looks good (thats all abt her). No sterling performance from her. Second half drags pretty well making the audience yawn and yawn for several times. A very predictable ending, which isn't that heart-touchy. Tabu doesn't get any scope except exhibit histronics. Thumbs down for fanaa. The only things worth-viewing were, the teaser-trailor of kabhi alvida naa kehna shown before the movie starts and teaser-trailor of kabul express, shown before the 2nd half begins.
Both Kajol & Aamir are my very favourite, so I don't have words to describe their excellency of acting & looks, absolutely excellent ! I will watch the movie again. Would like to know the exact meaning of 'FANAA', please mail me on my above mail id.
It was an overhyped film. Just watch it if u wanna see Aamir & Kajol togeather. Both of them did full justice to their role, Kajol looks very fresh. But the film had many flaws. Picturisation is good, story line is hmmmm....OK but Binding factor is missing, music is another week point. I hardly remember any song when I came out of hall. I am also surprised Do Travel Guides are like the Aamir play the role who crack joke on the first meeting like "Fighty apka naam hai ya apke kutte ka" or going very friendly with tourist or kissing Kajol etc.. etc.. That was so irritating. On the whole the film is not like other yashraj films I'll give " * * " to this film
Couldnt read Review 1 even to the third paragraph so came to Review 2. Found review 2 much much more informative. I think they should have been given the opposite order by the rediff staff. Makes it easy for the public to not get duped and be turned off from a website for good. Review 2 although made me think again. It is the only reason i will visit the reviewers articles again and again. Good work Sukanya.
