the only singer that gets away being as nasal as he is ...(and I dont mean it as a good thing)

Seemed ok for a song or two... but this is ridiculous.. If the style is intensional its about time he loses it. The songs are irritatingly repititive and the novelty of the grating, nasal voice has worn off!!

Himesh is everywhere,be it on TV and radio.Initially i was not very impressed with his songs but wherever i travel on the road or at work he is everywhere. His voice sound a bit nasal but that soes not matter as long as he continue to sing in his own style.Himesh song are very melodious and his voice is unique. It is a pleasant change from the usual Udit Narayan,Kumar Shanu,Sonu Nigam and Abhijeet. His voice suits the younger generation and this is what we need.Enough of actors lyp singing to those monotaneous tunes.Himesh is a welcome change and he is very good.

Himesh's voice has divinity (?????)
by Makarand Dhuri on May 24, 2006 02:57 PM

Only Chadda can say so..!!!! All these days kept me wondering, that if Himesh 'sings from his nose', where does he breathe from? I am just waiting for rediff to put him on chat... and I would ask him if he knows the difference between singing and shouting..!! On contradictory, I really love the lyrics and music of his songs. Himesh, I feel is a good music director... if only he stops singing himself, then that would be a great favour to our ears.

himesh's divine voice

To call Himesh's voice divine is blasphameous to say the least. His is such a voice that it vibes well with the present milieu. If IT/BPO/SMS/blog is our culture then Himesh sure is our diety.
Those who haven't listened to Padmashree Dr K J Yesudas' Malayalam Film Songs, especially of the era spanning 1960 to 1980 are bound to brand any other voice as divine! For one, I can't. I am not a Malayalee by birth- but let me tell the music lovers of India that it will take several milleniiums to see a singer such as he. Mind you,you get only 60 percent of his worth in his Hindi songs which in turn means Hindi songs are not a match to his 22 carat voice( that's how Ravinder Jain described his voice in the 70s)
What a pity-we are in a globalised village and yet we are living in such isolated worlds!
