Maybe they meant she was married at 23 and then suffered 10 years of trauma , anyway it's bad writing from the part of rediff. Though I agree that Ash is trying to pose like she is a foreigner tring to fit in our Indian culture.

Yep u r right the pose is really too artificial. And yes 23 yr old who has been abused for 10 years, makes the start of the story at 13.So do they show Ash as a 13 yr old too ? And in actuality she is 32.Funny numbers are all so confusing.Any way 32-13-23 is a good figure ? By the way is the movie in English ? Bride and bedjudiced was atrocious!!!Hope I dont get provoked into seeing this one.

dear Mate, on one hand, we indians appreciate when the bollywood stars are in a more provoking poses in the magazines and films just because we like it that way and on the other hand when they do the same thing outside india ,which infact should make us proud that outta so many stars, its our bollywood star who is in the hall of fame, we are criticising them (in this case, Aishwarya). This in simple terms is known as hypocricy and not to offend whenever this comes up we take the support of our indian culture which never teaches us to be hypocrites.
your news says that 'Provoked' is a film about a 23-year-old woman who was married for ten years. have you got teh facts wrong or is the film about child marriage + domestic violence?
