I agree that the conviction of Salman for killing a Black buck is the only one since 1972, it is unfair and he got it because of his celebrity status. Notwithstanding, does it make the crime any less serious. We must consider that at the beginning of this century India had 40,000 tigers and the other wild life to support this high population of carnivores. Today the tiger population is very low, who is responsible for this incalculable loss? We definitely are but the country was led in this carnage by thoughtless rajas, nawabs, the British and their lackeys. Also high profile shikaris like Salman must take their share of the blame. His conviction was correct because a high profile punishment does a message to rest of the country. Unnecessary idolisation of filmstars is what raised a sympathy wave in his favour. I suppose the judge dealing with the case deserves credit for his bold decision to convict Salman though he very well knew the effect of his action. My complements to the judge.
This is one good PR piece if i ever saw one. This "journalist" either has a crush on the Khan dude or has pocketed enough cash to write this kind of trash. How else can u explain this paragraph - Salman -"The reason I've not taken a stand is that these people (his accusers) have families. Harish Dulari (the driver who provided the clinching testimony) makes about Rs 750 a month."
So he'd actually chance going to jail to save the lives of those who put him in? "That's the way I've been brought up, dude," he responds.
Hai, how touching. dont worry salman, after killing endangered animals, bashing up your girlfriends and even killing people, the Nobel Peace Prize awaits you. I am sure his "fans" and this journalist will approve.
From his interview he is pretending to be the most decent man in whole India. He may have connections with underworld, he may overdrive the vehicle on human being he may do whatever he needed since he got Money Power and Muscle Power(not his physical)and thats what all needed in india to get away with above cases. He is a person who doesnt respect the Law, people and fools called fans. Just imagine the situation where a common man has been charged with any one of the above. And at last say he is convicted for any one of the above he has always left with option of saying "he has been targeted because being from a minority community". Remember what Mohammad Azharuddin (Cricketer) has quoted when he was held for Match fixing the same Sentence. A last word to Salman thanks to god Salman that you are in India, Imagine yourself in any of the middle east country with the above charges, quite obviously you will summoned by the same fans as late Salman Khan.
