Media plays a pivotal part for bolloywood. Based on the review, i watched the time in the first week. oops! i haven't watched something like this before. what message the movie tries to give its audience?
With all due respect to the reviewer, your review starts with a wrong title: Being Cyrus is a Unique Attempt. Shouldn't it read: Being Cyrus is "an" Unique Attempt?

this is with regards to a reader's feedback (the words are mentioned below... ---------------------- With all due respect to the reviewer, your review starts with a wrong title: Being Cyrus is a Unique Attempt. Shouldn't it read: Being Cyrus is "an" Unique Attempt? ---------------------- dear friend, the english is perfectly fine...A UNIQUE attempt. when the first letter in an english word starting with the letter U is pronounced with 'u', "a" is used preceeding it..as in "A UNIFORM", "A UNIQUE". however, when we pronounce it as 'a' eg.UMBRELLA, UMPIRE, "AN" is used....AN UMBRELLA, AN UMPIRE, etc.
As far as the movie is concerned, it is different, but not great, as being portrayed by the reviewer.the movie is slick no doubt, but at no pint in time, does it touch one's heart.
This is a caase of BAD film, WORSE review. I agree with u for one line though- where u mention that Honey chaya's superb. Yes, he was the saving grace. Lets get one thing straight, Saif's no johny Depp, leys stop potraying him as the next big thing of Bollywood. Also, Dimple did not overact, the role required her to be like that, n she just did justice to her role. If she would have not been over the top, she would have been 'Dimple' in the film and not potrayed 'Katy' if u know what i mean.
I feel the author is very harsh to Dimple kapadia in his review. She was fantastic in the film. Her body language, uneasiness, lack of poise of the character were enacted beautifully.
Saif too has eased into the character something which he is consistent with.
The film is too short to pay full ticket for. They should find some means whereas they charge less for such films since you can hold more shows in a day.
Being Cyrus is truly amazing. If Khatta Meetha is one look into the contours of lives of Parsi community, Being Cyrus is another which should be called a Parsi film. If the Bawa background is removed, the movie simply could not stand. In all the film is itself like Parsi community - eccentric, self-centred but extremely lovable. Naseer has delivered a top-notch performance. Saif, Boman, Simone have all given incredible performances. Dimple hams but her performance in the police station scene is brilliant, especially the trembling of hands is terrific. The two actors who deserve special mention - Honey Chhaya who played Naseer and Boman's father and Manoj Pahwa who played Inspector Maninder. Both are just brilliant. We have seen both of them mostly in ads and serials but the stuff they have delivered is awesome! Hats Off to Homi Adjania for giving us a truly memorable film.
