Dev Anand's- Autobiography
by satish chopra on Sep 28, 2011 07:43 PM

Very well expressed and edited- 'Romancing with Life' by Dev Anand- is a must read for lovers of serious cinema.

The publishers, as well need a sizable appreciation.

BHARAT SATISH TALWAR
Devanand my evergreen hero
by BHARAT SATISH TALWAR on Mar 11, 2006 11:33 AM

I do not know where from this man gets enrgy. I am a blind supporter of his looks, his style his work his enthusiasm, his energy. The first film of his which I saw was in the year 1957. The film was Insaniyat co-starred with Dilip Kumar. Till that time I was a follower of Dilip Kumar, but after seing Devanand I shifted my loyalty to Devanand and started seeing his all old films. During my college days from 1964 to 1967, when I was in Calcutta,, there was a theater in College street wherein there was a every day change shows of Devanand's old movies, which I used to go bunking my classes. Such was the craze of this man to my mind. I have seen Jab Pyar kissise hota hai 22 times. and even now at the age of 60 whenever I happen to see the film running I would go immediately to the theatre. He is really a sincere, honest & hardworking guy. People can take lessons from his life. I think his autobiography would be a welcome reading. May Dev Sahib live upto more than 100 years.

dev anand please retire

"Is there anybody else in the world actively making motion pictures at my age?"

Clint Eastwood just 7 years younger than Dev Anand still actively makes and acts in films, and he doesn't make stupid, silly, idiotic duds like "Mr Prime Minister".

It is highly adorable to see the quantum of energy you have Mr Dev. I have been watching your films for the last 37 years since Mahal, Johny Mera Naam----
I wish you should complete JANA NO DIL SE DOOR. And work in a few films of other directors/producers as well.

Waiting for your book
