Ever since I read Shantaram I was longing to know more about Roberts. That's how I came to this interesting article. I must say that Meena Mittal was extremely fortunate to meet the man 'himself'. And having Roberts to write an exclusive message must have really been an honour. I'll make sure I drop in at Leopald's sometime.
johnny depppp....he's the most versatile actor i must say...frm edward scissorhands, don juan de marco, nick of time, dead man, from hell, chocolat, pirates of carribean, slpy hollow, findin neverland to charlie and te chocolat factory, the libertine,,,,,he's excelled in all the movies,,,,,,,, waitin 4 shantaram to gt relsd and also Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Another lover of the character and book Shantaram would really like to appreciate what Robert is doing for the slums of Mumbai. Hope our politicians learn from him on how to help people.
Shantaram has indeed been a good read, more so over an eye opener for me as an Indian, to see how our people live a life in a city so called the business hub of India.
I want to ask Meena Mittal something that has aroused my curiosity.
In her interview with Gregory David Roberts, he telles her that Shantaram is Part 2 of a series of 4 books that he plans to write. So, which is Part 1?

Jesus, I was in Bombay in Feb as well, and guess what, I happened to be at Leopold when this block comes in parking a yellow Enfield outside the place. I was too shy to go and say hi, but at that time had not started reading the book yet. The book made me love the city and I look forward to go back soon and perhaps meet Mr Roberts finally. Sorry but definitely disagree about Jonny Depp, I firmly think he shouldn't have appointed himself for that role; I'd say you need to be a bit more aussie to play Lin and Depp just doesn't have the "fisique du role". Look forward to watch the movie though.
