Though Jayaram has waxed eloquent about Kamal, to me as an actor Jayaram is no less when it comes to performing comic roles. To be honest even though we all agree Kamal is an all time great actor and there have been very few movies where he has got overshadowed and I would put "Thenali" right up there on this list. Jayaram had performed so well in this film and his comic timing had been even better than Kamal !!! I was always in splits whenever there was a scene with Jayaram delivering the dialogues. Though Kamal has given his usual great performance in the film, still I felt it had paled in comparision with Jayaram's peformance. Anyway I really hope both Kamal and Jayaram continue to do more films together as they seem to bring out the best in each other.

Why are you so abusive?Did i say anything bad about south india or south indians?Why are abusing Bihar?Are you okay?And if i dont know who this hasan is ,should i still say he is wonderful,great and all.I dont know who this guy is and i am brave enough to come out in open and say i dont know this guy.I am not a coward to go and abuse others.

I liked the list, But my favourites are
1. Moonnam Pirai (Satma in Hindi with Sridevi)
Just watch the last scene of his acting as a Mad guy while the train is going ... am sure the gals will cry and the guys will will say that Kamal is amazing.
2. Nayakan - Offcourse as you said the list of best 10 movie Indian cinema has ecer produced
3. Indian (Hindustani) - What else a star needed ... simply excellent role.
Apart from that, Great movies like Ek Duje ke Liye, Sagar, Chachi 420(Avai Shanmugi), Sati Leelavati, Mahanadi and all are just great ...
Forget everything ... buy a CD for Pushpaka vimana and watch it once ... its the movie of 80's and comment about Kamal ...
He is such a great actor, You enjoy everybit of his films like Avai Shanmugi, Indrudu Chandrudu, Nayagan, Mahanadi, Ek Dujekeliye, Sagar, Pushpaka Vimana, Rama Shayama Bhama, Sagara Sangamam, Swathi Muthyam.
At the same time it is very painful to watch him in moive where he played double role with one of them very fat and mentally disturbed. I request him not to do such kind of roles.
he is one the greatest actor in the world. if some one doesn't know about him, that means those people doesn't know anything. K.H movie NAYAGAN is one of the top 100 movies in 100 years.

Arey You saw mrityudand od Amitabh , people vomitted blood in the theatre and died watching that movie.Real hype in hindi movies that is why amitabh got only a notional award but Kamal the great got Three national award. HIndi people are so jealous about south people.

you should watch atleast some movies of kamal before commenting.. even amitabh has flops like ABHAY.( with due regrets to amitabh)
Kamal is 16 times filmfare award winner and 3 times national award winner. If you dont know abt him..sorry I cannt help you.. but stop commenting kamal watching only ABHAY..

Ever seen 'ek duje ke liye?' or the superhit 'sadma?' .Or else,how can you forget sagar??where he played the second lead along with dimple and rishi..the song,o maria was a super duper hit..Kamal's tamil movie indian was very succesfully dubbed to 'hindustani' in hindi(remember the song telephone dhun mei hasne waali).If no,then sorry buddy,u dont have any idea about hindi movies too..

yes u all kamal hassan is not in north india, where as amitabh bachan is not known in south indian villages. first know that, bleady u when amitabh couldnt convince other language people acting in their own language, atleast kamal has given hits in ur bleady bolly wood with sagar, ek dujhe ke liye, sanam teri kasam, raj tilak, first go take these cd & watch those movies, he has also got the best actor film fare award for sagar in 1986. After seeing u people'smessages,i thought let me find outabt this guy,maybe is tom cruise or something.Then my friend told me he tried inHindi films too and was a unscucessful hero in Bollywood.I dont know if south indian industry is biggest powerhouse,why his hasan or hassan or whatever tried to enter bolloywood films,really strange.I even tried to see one of his Hindi films ABHAY.....yeeek horrible movie,horrible acting.Cud notsee even 30 mintes,probably it was a big hit in so called powerhouse ....And abt greatest actor in india...good joke,to be a greatest actor in india needs to be known in every village of india..not just south indian villages.Amitabh bachan is one of candidates who can be called greatest actor.This Hasan or Hassan .whetever .baapre abhay film,where is zandu balm mann?
