Krrish is an wonderful attempt from Bollywood in the special effects arena. However i am not sure why bollywood cannot still come up with authentic themes.
The theme of a supercomputer which can see in the future is picked entirely from the movie 'Pay Cheque' starring Ben Effleck.
Also action scene special effects seem to be replicas from Matrix.
Hi I sam Krrish on the first day last show in Singapore-23rd of June. I was excited as i knew what Rakesh Roshan was capable of. Also his son performed best under his father. Also seeing my country in a Bollywood film was an added attaraction. By the way I havent mentioned I am Singaporean but was born in Bombay as it was formerly known as.While on the whole it turned out to be the usual masala film there are certain points I like to mention. The computer of the future that predicts the future was no-no - unbelieveable just imagine. The country was also not portrayed in its true light. Singapore is a safe and wonderful place - we dont have motorbike thieves waiting at the airport or motorbike gangs roaming the streets. Also our Police is one of the most efficient in the world- in Krrish they were totally invisible whether there was a fire in the circus or when a murder was committed in Chinatown. On the other hand kudos for Rakesh for having the courage to launch an alien and follow up with an Indian superhero.Krrish's costume and mask were well designed.Songs were adequate. On the whole I would rate it average.
How could you like this movie?...no honestly...I was cringing the whole time I saw it..This is our answer to Superman?....This is whats supposed to equate our movies with that of Hollywood?...It is better than Koi Mil Gaya(which is not saying much really), but thats the only "positive" thing to say about this movie...Yet another "inspired" movie which fails miserably to match any of the originals...
The problem of the Hindi film industry is the audience...how else could you explain the huge success of mediocre(and I'm being kind here) movies?...As long as the audience continues to lap up unoriginal, one-dimensional plots thats about all we're going to get....
well krrish seemed to be a bit of a dissapointment in the first half [ may be due to the much created hype] but by the time people start thinkin of gettin out , two seconds b4 the interval hrithik gives his fans a sigh with a much convinsing entry , but then the director could have controlled by not doin those extra antics, which were also shown in KMG ,like the bike goin and hittinn every body down and the hero movin around the villian like a black smoke etc etc , . And well priyanka was expected to do a much more than just standin starin and runnin in her micros.. well the movie could have started its story from the first half itself .
