Appreciation to the judiciary system.
by Kishore Godavarthy on Jun 21, 2006 09:14 PM

Hi,
I highly appreciate the judiciary system that is getting tougher as the days progresses.I really do not understand as why the state government has to ban this movie.Haven't we made too much of mockery of being a democratic and secualar system? Many countries like U.S and larger christian communities through out the world have no objection for this movie, then why are we doing this. The people who wanted to ban the movie, have they read about the story or atleast have they read the novel? This is totally insane and the congress government is doing it's level best to destroy the society by flattering the minorities and they should stop this.

Thanks,

Good... but I suggest that the court should fine people in line with today's amounts. The distributors would have lost many lakhs because by this time, people have watched it on VCDs. 10000 is not enough. (Of course, this was not a greatly made movie.)

Take it easy Sam
by vardhani on Jun 21, 2006 08:23 PM

I hope our Sam Reddy stops wasting the Hon' courts' time. The ban on the film was a hasty decision like most of his other decisions and we know how the courts reversed them. Grow up Sam.

I think the minority organisations have over reacted. I have read the book and the story made sense. Its nice to know that the ban has been dismissed by the court. We can all watch the movie now.

Da Vinci Code

The AP Court has done the right move by lifting the ban of the government of A.P.

Although the Central Board of Census has cleared the film, the state government has banned the film only for the vote bank.

When film was screened through out the world where more christians are living, why did the state government ban the film.

Let the politicians think better.

Blame it on Pseudo-secularists....
by Rahul on Jun 21, 2006 07:27 PM

In our country, we are more concerned about fundamental rights, human rights when nationalist forces try to overcome national problems. However when it comes to issues concerning to minorities then the so called secular people dont even spare our Holy Constitution and introduce a change in it.

This is very good Judjement .Now we can think we are living in Indian democracy because this is only election stunt.Nobody knows in village sector regarding this movie and what is the subject this is my personal experiance.after making noice by 2 OR 3 members they can not take like this type of action. In Every part of this ban Issue there is mess.because if government really want to take this action they can take before one week while paper ads coming before 10 days. even in feauture government should not take like this action

Cheers

Good Move!
by prashanth on Jun 21, 2006 07:15 PM

HC had done justice in removing the Ban.This YSR is trying to impress the majority of whom him and his party have defined as Minorities, for Vote and ready to do whatever he can for that.Movie as such doesnt have anything to hurt the sentiments of this class of minority and well accepted around the Globe, except some states in India being run by mad ( Look at Karunanidhi, The God Chief Minister! ).
But, ths kind of actions by court rarely bother these Ppl.

Anyways, a good move!
