Mr Know it all Raja Sen
by Yash on Jun 14, 2006 10:23 AM

Mr. Know it all Raja Sen would of course say that Amitabh Bachchan was a near-superhero in Jaadugar and Ajooba. By that standard, he was a superhero in all his movies, even Black for that matter.
As for Krrish's hero being a son of an alien... that comment makes it clear that Raja does not even bother to see movies which he criticizes. In Koi... Mil Gaya, Hrithik is not an alien, but he is given super powers by an alien. How is his son supposed to be sired by aliens then? Artificial or remote insemination, or does Mr. Sen know the script of the to be released film? And then he would go ahead and say Rakesh Roshan is a bad director. Compared to the directors Sen praises, I am sure Rakesh Roshan is a Stanley Kubrick.

Bullwood is full of.... Well, the name says it all
by Murali on Jun 14, 2006 10:03 AM

Not only that it also is full of BS and with sidekicks like you, it really is a thriving warm puddle of BS.

This probably would be the last time I visit rediff and rediff can owe this insignificant loss of business to bigoted writers (sorry, crappers) like Raja Sen.

Bollywood is a pathetic modern tinsel face to a country like ours where once upon a time art and life was so intertwined to shape an unparalleled civilization. And the icing on this BScake are the buttboys disguised as movie critics

superheroes in bollywood

dear mr raja sen,
your research on the topic "superheroes in bollywood" was very good until i happened to reach and read the last sentence after you described the movie alag and rakesh roshans blockbuster "KRRISH".
what do you mean when you say that neither the director nor the film looks promising please stop being biased and try to appreciate true hardwork instead of waiting for an oppurtunity to criticize.
what happens when the johars and chopras are releasing a movie pages are written about the moving describing how it is going to be the biggest blocbuster that time no one has the guts to write anything negative about the movie and i guess this is going to continue but please do not comment on the movie till it has not released.
regards,
vishal

He say all the things as if he was shown ALAG or KRRISH. This is plain stupidness. With Reviews of Phir Hera Pheri & Fanaa , rediff fans are angry. Actually the films are HITs and all the other reviews were positive for those films except this stup!d. And How dare he can say a director of Rakesh Roshan calibre not a promising director. I think this guys is nuts with SRK&KaranJohar. Please get him off REDIFF

I don't think that kaho na pyar hai is a combo of tamil movies. If it is, it only shows how bad tamil films are!
For the record, kaho na pyar hai is inspired by Kasme Vadestarring Amitabh and rakhee. Guess that you are totally dumb abt hindi movies

Fanaa is really poor ..i'm great fan of amir khan but mission kashmir and fiza are some wat better than this

Well, I watch plenty of bollywood films, but candidly admit that they're just not of the same quality and calibre as hollywood films. Alright, the fact is that most bollywood directors are likewise not of the same calibre as hollywood directors, and that also inherently includes Rakesh Roshan. But within the bollywood sphere Rakesh Roshan is still one of the better directors compared to his peers.

I really liked Farhan Akhtar's Lakshya, because he made an action-hero film that could compete with the hollywood blockbusters. I wrote a positive review of the film on the internet, and Akhtar even gave me a reply after reading my review. I agree that if Indian filmmakers truly want to make quality films and rise beyond the typically poor fare of the bollywood garbage heap, then they will have to make them for NRI audiences. Because in my opinion, the Indian masses have very low tastes. They only want to see actresses wearing scanty clothing with water pouring over their bodies. They're the reason why bollywood deliberately keeps itself so backward.
