Infact all Indian Idols should go the country (USA) which has brought in this concept of idols. They should stay there and not come back. So USA can have American-Indian Idols, Expat-Indian Idols and all shows similar to that. One question. How can someone who just has a good voice, sings someone else's song, sings like him (no improvisations) be an Indian Idol? Beats me! And elected by millions of people who have no or very less understanding of Classical and Hindustani music! Let them stay there and do the country proud (pun intended)
Karunya, You are simply great & there is much success & celebration to come for you. You Just sing as you sing, The nation is with you & not to hurt any one but this is fact that Karunya you did not succeed to get that prize & car but every indian knows who deserved that - You are true Indian Idol II.

Who's Karunya and who's Sandeep? I watched these guys and theres only one thing about them. They have a good voice. Their character is not what you see on TV. They are made to behave, dress and talk that way by their producers. Indian Idol is too big a name to be given to these guys. Look around you. There are so many Indian Classical and Hindustani and thousands of other regional artists who represent the true Indian Music. There is no way Bollywood can represent Indian Music. If I tell you guys that Bollywood imported music from the west (most of the jazz and rock n'roll music) and just modified to Indian tastes, most of you wouldn't believe me. I don't care about these guys and will never even think about them till they compose, write and sing their own music. I don't think they have the talent to even come anywhere close to some of the brilliant artists who have brought name to India and most of India doesn't even know them.
Congrats & great.Have been following this show.Eventually merit works.I have nothing against the winner Acharya but he was selected on vote by SMS which is like our elections...... & he shud hve been the runner up.Stupid system of selection.Next it will be SC/BC quota....

Sorry to say, but i think people send votes to the one whose voice they enjoy. Because afterall it takes 3 Rs. to send a vote and currently in india 3 Rs. matters. Anyhow it's your perception and you think that sandeep should have been a runner up, same way i think that karunya is better at the place he is now(runner up) and india has more people thinking in my way.

I do agree with Captain. Karunya should have been II2. I am sure he will go much ahead of Sandeep Acharya. Regards.
