Lady In the Water

My family and I saw this movie last night, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters were well developed and we discussed the many layers in some of the characters. We especially liked the play on the movie critic. It was refreshing to enjoy a movie absent the base violence, sex and vulgarity which characterizes somuch of what is available. This movie was like reading a good book, you came away with a pleasant feeling and spent much time discussing and ruminating on the plot and characters.
It is a movie for those who can still think, dream and believe in goodness. Shyamalan is obviously a very gifted person and I expect to continue to enjoy
his work. Bryce Howard is an amazing talent, much better than some of the leading ladies being forced down our throats.

i think he is one of the best directors of the industry..some one may say he'll produce only same kind of films but they have there own taste and uniqueness...we should not compare with his past..
films... i like the sounds he select for his scenes are really great..definitely i hope lady in the water create some mark.

Sumant Shankar Rao
A brave producer

I am not sure how many folks in India have seen the movie. I think Lady in the Water is amateurish in places - but there is a reason.

Shyamalan tries to recreate entire worlds of fantasy using an ordinary set of characters, an ordinary setting and no computer graphics for all practical purposes.

The same movie - had it been recast as a horror movie would have had set teh registers ringing - but ... left nothing to the imagination.

Its like reading a book - you have to do a lot of the imagining.

I still think its amateurish in places - but thats because of teh enormity of the task he has chosen.

Like in all the arts - if you dont like it - cool. Just understand the artists attempt and appreciate it please.

From the first fim Sixth Sense he has been acting like the weavers of old story who cheated the King in pretext of making new clothes, they never made one just acted.

Sixth Sense was a hit because none understand what it is, half of the part hero mumbles which is very difficult to decipher, we also saw it thinking an Indian made box office history in US, now u cant go on blinding everyone everytime

Enough Shyamalan

I think Manoj Shyamalan is running out of batteries now. All his movies are of same taste. Give us a break. Produce some thing different next time..
