Shyamalan seemed to skirt the issue of the question about employing South East Asians in this film because he appears alot in this film.
"And certainly I've had a lot of white
people in my movies. So I have nothing against them.
But it was nice to have a moment where you can play a
guy. Not necessarily an Indian guy, just a guy. And
that makes a big difference because it changes norms.
It changes norms for people that maybe never had a
neighbour who was an Indian guy"
My question is that he separates himself from being Indian. Is he ashamed that he is?
How come he doesn't employ other Indians except himself and his wife in his movies? Is he anti-Indian?
His use of the term "white people "sounds a bit bias
to me what wrong with the term Americans?
