Rehman is extra-ordinary.I was thinking he made Naresh sing Ai-saala,there is a line in this song "aandhiyon se lad rahi hai lau meri" ,now this is such a courageous line that it would have suited any intense expression ,but the humble stating of naresh makes you smoothly connect with the great thought/fight of the man.

hey jayram, u might have pointed out some valid points. but why do u unnecessarily need to reveal the excerpts of the story and details..atleats that w'd be good for others who couldnt watch the movie yet.
Agreed the RDB music was truely innovative, and excellent according to ARRahman's standard. I liked Rang De Basanti, Paathshala and Khalbali songs very much. Very impressive and different. As usual songs of ARR takes time to catch and attract. And similar thing happen in this movie. I was especially blown away with the khalbali song for its beats, arabic sounds, and when I read the lyrics in the subtitled movie I liked it more beacause of its meaning. The beauty of songs improved due to lyrics too.
But I was totally DIS-APPOINTED with placement of three songs in three crucial moments in the film and spoiling the flow of the movie: Khoon Chala, when the police party attack the protesters, Luka chuppi placed when madhavan ceremonial was happening, Roobaroo song when the film was apprearing for tensed moments in the radio station. What a lousy placement, which spoiled the whole second half of the movie. The director, and the editor need to be blamed for this blunder, which resulted in some sort of vagueness or emptiness in the second half of the movie.
Rahman is the God of music. He is not only a bollywood music director. He is the Man who belives music comes out from heart. So he can do any kind of music. Thats why he is a Legend. Hats off to Rahman sir.
when i first listen the music of RDB i liked paatshala only because of promos. but after watching the movie it is really difficult for me to say the best as now i understand the music much better. still i found Roobaroo, paatshala be a revel, luka chuppi to be the best.really great music with appropiate time in movie. i havn't see any movie where all the music rocked like the music of RDB.
Rahman just roccckksksssss.. I loved the songs... It has a fresh feel and never before heard sounds in it.... Keep rocking Rahman.... Hats off to u....
I first listen the Robaroo at Raaga.com.I just in love with that song. After watching the movie i also love the other songs. All songs are different.I specially like "Luka Chuppi",,its so emotional..Great work by AR Rahman.Lataji is fantastic..
The favour Rehman has done for Naresh (Rubaroo song) shows that he is a nice guy and the industry is changing, giving opportunities to young and new singers. Result , obviously, is in front of every one
